No. They didn't do anything. I saw a user on here with 6 million downvotes. They are mostly a placebo thing. They were used to keep autistic retards and weirdos from spamming the mods with requests to have someone banned because they posted something they didn't like. Also to cut down on the flame wars because people on the internet can't seem to deal with differing opinions. You scroll through a thread, and you see a post you don't like. So, you give it a MATI dumb or autistic sticker which counts as a downvote, and you move on. But from what I have read in certain threads the mods were still getting spammed with messages about posts in the forum. Basically, people whining about the posts. So the stickers weren't even effective in that way.
What really needed to happen is the retards and faggots needed to start getting in trouble for filing false reports just like people get in trouble in real life for filing false reports with the police. You report a post because you don't like it then that's a ban. Maybe like a 24 hr ban. Do it again and its a week. 3 months then a perma ban for the real stupid ones.
You report a post that isn't breaking the rules then you are in deep shit.
