tbh from my experiences trying to get pics of the kittens at my job I have a much better understanding of "NO I TOTALLY SAW IT!" [picture of a blur that might be hairy]

but yeah I can totally believe that there's stinky furry hominids dicking around the wilderness of the USA that we don't really know about clearly (joke about illegals omitted for clarity)
the more paranormal stuff about Bigfoots teleporting and being friends of the UFOs seems kinda silly

I have made the exact same point before. I couldn't get my phone out of my pocket in time to get a picture of a deer, and it was in an area where it was pretty used to humans being around.
I don't believe any of the paranormal stuff either, but the mountain gorilla was considered a cryptid until it was verified by the white folk. It had been known to the natives in the area forever before that.
