Are products like Liquid IV a scam - If you actually need electrolytes

They work but you are paying for the branding. You can buy powder mixtures and just put it into water for a fraction of the cost. Some don’t even have sodium which is a necessary component for the electrolytes to have a benefit. It’s a much better product than a lot of over the counter drinks, but has more sugar than necessary and is like 10x more expensive than homemade and 5x more than generic packages that don’t brand as much

I'm a Liquid V fan. Love the part where Liquid says "I'm gonna liquid all over you" and explodes. He does this in every Liquid, but this was the most entertaining instance of it.
