I have heard about the movie “Nope” (yes, it’s called that for some reason) which was made by Jordan Peele. Apparently this is a cosmic horror movie made by a black person with a black cast, so maybe that’s worth checking out. But I haven’t seen it myself.

The only Jordan Peele movie I’ve seen personally was his Candyman sequel, which was awful, so I can’t personally say that he’s a good filmmaker, but his movies are generally well-liked from what I’ve heard.

Nope is good, but really kind of gives away the mystery at the end. You should never know the why or how of the threat in cosmic horror. Getting out of it's way is the best outcome, and even then you end up in a padded cell.
