I have two cats that are the product of a black single mother cat, and it shows. The one drop rule definitely applies to cats. They are unruly, get into everything and meow back to me using Ebonics and are quick to throwing paws.

You might say to yourself. But those aren't black cats. That's the insidious part. Just because a parent is black doesn't mean the children will be black. Due to feline genetics, cats can hide their black cat ancestry. YOUR cat might have some black in it's family tree!
