I find his channel pretty interesting since he enjoys fringe media, yet is a devout christian. Also he claims his audience wants more religious themed videos.

If true this feels like the pendulum swinging. I remember how millennials were LARPing as atheist's and nihilists for ages between 2007 and 2012 (when they were teens). Everyone was an anti religious edgelord.
Its funny to see this guy go from nothing to almost 500k subs in 6 months while being based but also religious. Makes me wonder if all those edgelords turned to empty shells and now see this guy and others like him saying "Wow, religion has some cool stuff."

Not a fan, if you happen to already be familiar with whatever it is he's talking about then you can tell he has no real knowledge of the subject that you couldn't get from skimming a Wikipedia article. His videos are good if you want an introduction to a topic but that's about it.

It's not that religion is on the rise, it's that anti-religious sentiment in the vein of men Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens is on the decline. There's nothing new or edgy about calling God a "magic sky fairy", anyone who's still making anti-religious content is just preaching to the choir at this point. Most atheists have grown up and went from a "religion is stupid and we need to deconvert as many people as possible" mentality to a "I don't believe in it but I accept it if others do" one.
