where can i watch it nowadays

many years ago i saw a bunch of SG1 cuz it aired on 2am in some channel that no longer exists and i had even worse sleeping problems than i do now (i wouldnt sleep for weeks on end, start to hallucinate, pass out, wake up 2 days later, repeat the cycle)

idk where to watch it nowadays, and i really do want to, as i nay have forgotten most of it due to the afirementioned sleeping problems
Should be on Prime Video (Amazon bought MGM), and it has a Pluto TV channel playing random episodes, although that's not a great way to experience the story.

It's known to have an AI-upscaled Blu-ray release. They cheaped out.

Personally, I would just pick a pirate streaming site, such as BrocoFlix. Brave browser or whatever adblocker people are recommending should block most ads.

You can use Jdownloader on alot of those websites
I don't bother. Pirate streaming is working flawlessly for me most of the time and I have no desire to store movies and TV anymore (archiving lolcow content is a better use of drive space). However, I do know someone who uses JDownloader, Video DownloadHelper, or whatever on the streaming sites, to cope with an unreliable connection on either end. So if these sites are cutting the stream or buffering constantly, downloading it is a good option.

Stargate is the red headed step child of shows. Nobody wants it but they don't want anyone else to have it.

And it is secretly the best.
SG-1 often felt like a rough draft of Enterprise, if you replaced O'Neill's seething at Russians with Vulcans.

Amazon. They bought MGM which owned Stargate.
I've seen it randomly on some OTA TV channel that just shows old syndicated TV shows.

If you can, torrent it. That's what I did for example with the Stargate series and King of the Hill (way better quality than on some pirated streaming sites).
Streaming sites like Amazon Prime Video or Netflix tend to remove shows after a certain time or censor episodes (there are several episodes of South Park that are missing on Prime Video).

It's quite bad, They thought it was a good idea to remove the film grain on the first 3 seasons so now the picture looks soft.

Since I got annoyed with Atlantis and started rewatching DS9, I have really noticed that SG-1 is also a post-hoc rough draft of Deep Space 9.

Not that I am complaining. But they really must have watched a lot of that show.

@Miller @The Mass Shooter Ron Soye my rule of thumb with shows or movies made for CRT televisions is to never get a version at a resolution over 720p. Yes there is a chance for even higher quality, but then you need to wonder things like "why is the Enterprise assembled with drywall screws??"

You need a little fuzziness for all of it to work. Some newer stuff could probably benefit from this as well but that is another issue entirely.

If you really want to get corkboard-with-a-red-string with it, VOY aired at the same time as SG-1. "Workforce" is a Costco version of SG-1’s “Beneath the Surface,” oh , and Voyager's advanced "transwarp" and "slipstream" visuals? It's Stargate’s blue tunnel effect.

That OTA channel is called Comet TV and SG-1 airs Monday-Friday 12 CT till 4 CT pm.

it was actually an israeli ripoff of comet tv iirc (not exactly, it was a channel with the same niche, but ripoff sounds wackier)

i dont remember the exact name of the channel, dont forget i have a hole in my memory from this time due to sleep deprivation, i get random glimpses of stuff that happened back then, and i do remember skills ive learned back then (for example, i can kinda understand french, not speak it tho, just understand what other ppl say or write)

What a ride. Let us know when you're done with season 7.
Welp I've just started season 6 and Daniel's been replaced by generic soldier man. His "quick study" schtick is getting very old.
Feeling like the writers are out of ideas and the technobable is reaching Voyager level. Please tell me this gets better..
