It's been a while since I posted here.
The big update is that as a birthday present, my family got me a golf instructor. I know it may not be affordable for everyone to do it. But I would highly recommend it if you wish to start playing at a more consistent ability. The instructor himself is sharp and knows his shit. Because of this, I have been able to hit more consistently (I still have a lot to go over) however I have seen big improvements in my game. During one of my lessons, I was able to sink a 40-foot putt!
I have been able to hit the links a fair amount, I usually try to get a round in every other week. I am truly starting to love this sport besides just being an avid recreational player. Now I do not want to go pro, since that will never happen. However, I want to get good enough so that I can win a local league. Since that's at least achievable. I hit my drives far when I have nice contact, my hybrids and irons are solid but can fall apart if I'm not having a good day, and my putts are getting more accurate. That's still to say that I do need to work if I want to achieve a nice low handicap.
The courses around me are very solid some good public ones with some privates scattered about. I have to say this I love this sport.
Wild ass idea, how logistically possible would a Kiwi Farms Open would be? Now this is completely hypothetical. Not to mention we would have to select a course for this to happen. But I just want to put this out here so other Kiwis can react to this.
