kiwi never had the makings of a varsity athlete. Though he did letter in Football. But college? Those guys from Seton Hall were seven feet tall, some of 'em. Took an academic leave anyway.

I remember watching some show about a dude investigating college football and there was some nuts ruling in place that athletes have to self-sustain, meaning they'd be barred from whatever if they borrowed money or even fucking pencils. Any truth to that?

This must have been before NIL and the Supreme Court ruling. Now athletes can get paid, but back in the day it was nuts. For example, Tiger Woods almost got kicked out of college golf because he accepted a steak dinner with Arnold Palmer, as that could have been considered a gift that's against the rules, but luckily that stuff changed, but back in the day guys couldn't even have YouTube channels or anything that could turn a profit.
Train, say your prayers, eat your vitamins. Be true to yourself and true to your country. Be a real American.

Hulk Hogan's advice still stands true. I love the Hulkster.

I wasn't in any college team but I was competing while in college, still do to this day.
Go for it.
You might not win anything but so what?
It's a good way to push your limits and test yourself.
