Any Active Duty/ Veterans on Here?

Since Veterans Day is next week I thought I should create a thread for people who have served in the armed forces, active duty or someone who has family or close friends in the military. This is to discuss military and veteran related things. I know there's at least a few members on these forums who served. If you have any stories or experiences you would like to share please do.

I was in the US Navy and served on an aircraft carrier. Bootcamp was by far one my most favorite moments of my life, I remember we had a recruit who was very obviously autistic, he would piss himself in his sleep frequently. To this day I still wonder how he passed meps screening and how he graduated bootcamp.

My dad is a West Point graduate and was in the Signal Corps at Fort Bragg for a few years in the mid-70's.

Thanks for this thread. I do love some military appreciation.

I served for several years in the Army, but I had to get out due to medical issues. I had one tour to Iraq and another to South Korea.
