Tumblr has it in their heads that making no attempt whatsoever to pass or anything = uwu you're still trans. But as soon as you mention dysphoria, you are literally Hitler.

Which makes it worse for the people who actually have dysphoria (i.e, they've been diagnosed.) I think it's fantastic how quickly they shift viewpoints in order to further their goals. Take the gay rights movement, for example.

Ever since the '70s, that movement's been working on the assumption that gay and trans people are pretty much born the way they are, and that they can't be "changed." Until recently, Tumblr generally supported that. But then, it became vogue to be genderfluid/wafflegender and Tumblr started actively decrying the gay rights activists who rightly called them ridiculous, because their sexuality and their gender was their choice.

The long and short of it is that Tumblr doesn't actually have ethics or principles, just things they want and ways to get them.
