As far as I can tell Stern just interviews his buddies he hangs out with in the Hamptons. It’s a sleight of hand because the executives at SiriusXM see him interviewing Larry David or Bob Odenkirk and think Stern is able to pull those types of guests because he’s still a big draw to the Right People. Larry David has never been on Joe Rogan but he has been on Howard Stern, therefore they need to continue to dump umpteen million dollars on him. I agree with whoever said it earlier that Howard is even less relevant than Anthony these days.

I dunno, I never thought Stern was good. Opie and Anthony took it when they got mocked and embarrassed themselved for content (e.g. Embarrassing Tapes Day). Stern couldn't handle the slightest bit of criticism and he was vindictive towards anyone whose farts sounded like a joke at his expense.

Anthony Cumia and his baby boomer fans' take on the comments awful movie takes makes one wonder if the decline of superhero movies and the recent Minions are caused by baby boomers dying off. And Why so many baby boomers like Anthony Cumia Gavin either ignoring or actively defending the impact of high-fructose corn syrup on Americans' health, especially considering their generation role in replacing sugar with high-fructose corn syrup in various products? They are trying to blame women in the workplace when the obesity epidemic truly began in the 80s instead of the 60a and 70s.

Stern's show had its moments. A little overrated, but that was more so because Stern himself wasn't as funny as many people claimed. Stern however to his credit knew how to assemble a funny cast of people to make up for it. He could even get the most timid guests that were there just for an interview to get in on the fun in some way, shape or form.
Whenever Gilbert Gottfried made an appearance you knew it was Christmas morning.

What could be motivating Howard to possibly continue the show at this point? Why bother tarnishing your own legacy even further? He's got 100s of Millions in the bank, what else does he want?
Also, a Jew being good at assembling groups together... kinda reminds me of that one guy.

When Billy West left in 1995. Right after that he started the Private Parts tour and the show stopped being a talk show or variety show and more of a four hour commercial for his book and movie. Once Stern started focusing on projects outside of radio he was checked out of being a broadcaster. By the time he got to Sirius he didn't even want to work three days a week.

For me, It was a combination of 3 things that took the shine off the show.
1 The WOR TV show. It started out great, but having to produce content for 2 shows took it's toll. They seemed to save the better/funnier stuff for the TV show, or even worse, repeating the same bits for both shows.
2. Beating John DiBella and his morning zoo in the Philly ratings. That was a big deal for Howard and was a frequent topic on the show as soon as his show broadcast in Philly starting in 1987. It really picked up steam in 90/91 culminating in Howards victory lap in downtown Philly. I noticed the show immediately lost some oomph afterwards.
3. The whole Private Parts movie release, the seemingly almost immediate divorce (big lol on that one since the movie was touted by Howard as being a love letter to his soon to be ex wife), and Jackie departing.
After the third, since it all seemed to happen around the same time. I just stopped listening.

I can still listen to old O&A shows or bits because they were honest, no matter what else you can say about them. With Stern, he trashed his whole legacy, and I just feel duped revisiting any of it.

Speaking of which. If Kino Casino ceases coverage of Lulzcows, they could maintain their business by focusing on coverage of Anthony Cumia, Howard Stern, Jim Norton, and Greg Opie for years to come. Shock jocks are proto-lulzcows when it comes to acting like spergs and scumbags. As much people make fun of the O&A cast. They never gotten people killed like Howard stern has.

You'd have a hard time milking the O&A cast - they just are (ironically) not that funny.
Opie is terminally boring, Ant is delusional and the world has passed him by - but that just makes him a normal boomer in a sea of millions. Norton is the funniest but he's only as gay as was openly admitting to be ~20 or so years ago - him tranny chasing and making horrible life decisions is nothing new.
RE - Stern talk, but, it feels like your opinion on Stern generally hinges on how old you are and when you listened to him. He just seems like a godless heathen who never wanted to be "outdone" even when he no longer wanted to do radio and most of his Sirius run was 100% spite motivated.
