🍗 Deathfat Anna o' Brien / Glitter + Lazers / GlitterandLazers - Fat, drunk, consoomer attention whore who would rather eat and drink herself to death than endure a single negative emotion

She confused crinoline with petticoat. Granted, petticoats were also worn to hide the boning in hoop skirts or panniers, when talking about it in a historical sense.

Crinoline was stiff, and very long. Modern petticoats are shorter and used in the 1950s as an ornamental skirt to produce volume and shape.

Could she have meant 'crepe'?

Trying to quote @GenociderSyo last post to reference, but can't

Absolutely nothing about Anna's outfits is "1950's style" except maybe the red hat. I don't even understand why she's referring to these outfits as 1950's or vintage style.

My theory on why fatties like retro clothing when they can't even wear it.
I've tried to figure out why fatties seem obsessed with "vintage clothes". They can't actually wear any authentic vintage clothing (except maybe hats and jewelry) because they didn't make clothes for morbidly obese people until the past few decades. Morbidly obese women didn't exist in any statistically significant way until 1990's. If you were one of the exceedingly rare women over 250 lbs in 1955, you used your sewing machine to make your own mumus or x5 a pattern, there were no clothes made that would fit morbidly obese women in 1950's. If you were over a size 16, you had to make your own clothes.

I think it started because of the urban legend/ misinformation that retro fashions were for "curvy" women and were more flattering for larger ladies. I remember people constantly harping that Marylin Monroe was a size 8 or 10! (Never mind skirt size 8 in 1951 equals a modern size 0-2). Women in the 1950's weren't "curvy" because they had a few extra pounds, they were "curvy" because of their absurdly cinched waists exaggerated the difference between their bust and hips. Women started wearing girdles as adolescents to cinch their waist as much as possible. One of the major complaints you hear today from thin women about authentic vintage clothing is that the waists are impossibly small on every dress, skirt or pants. Everything is high waisted and the waist is ridiculously tiny - hence why girdles were mandatory for high fashion in the 50's.

1950's clothes existed before the advent of the stretchy poly-based fiber cloth, so everything was fitted and has little to no "give". Everybody tucked their shirts into their skirts or pants. It’s the worst type of clothing imaginable for a death fat like Anna because it was made within narrow perimeters for the average women's body in the 1950's and those were were all under 160 lbs, and usually under 125 lbs.

All the "retro-inspired" clothing for death fats just look like sloppy pajama outfits. It would be interested to see actual "retro-inspired" clothes made for fatties using authentic fit and materials, but it would be very expensive and get the fatties angry. Just like death fats can't tolerate the discomfort of one hunger pang they also can't tolerate wearing anything that isn't as comfortable as sloppy pajamas.

When I think of the 1950s, I picture slim women in elegant dresses and men in well-tailored suits. I'm sure there were fat people back then too but they would have been a minority unlike now.

"in the 40s there was wars"
We have war and famines right now. Is Anna not aware that her own country is involved in a war by proxy by supplying equipment and support to Ukraine?

"the 50s marked the first moment of optimism for a country"
May be true, idk.

"The 50s in a lot of ways, mirror what we're experiencing right now"
How? She goes on to talk about optimism but everyone is worried about energy bills, even those with a double income. Inflation is at 20% in some places. Most people under 40 have given up on ever achieving home ownership. Global supply chains are not fully restored. There is unrest and mistrust in governments everywhere. The gap between the poor and the rich is widening year on year. In 2022 we have experienced floods, wildfires and unprecedented heat waves. I'm a long-term optimist but I'm not seeing any optimism in society in general at the moment. In fact all experts are telling us things are going to get worse, at least in the short term.

She is so out of touch with world events and the reality of life for the average person.

Well at least she looks decent in the first dress, if only because it covers her knees.

That was the worst Kohls ad of all time. With the way she acted confused and surprised by the random things in front of her and seemed to have no idea that Kohls even sold them, I would bet $100 she had never set foot in a Kohls store. The "intern" probably bough this stuff online and Anna never saw any of it until it was set up. I am actually offended that she says the "clothes are getting better". What type of endorsement is that? So the clothes aren't good (or she would have said that) but maybe they are okay or at least not the trash they used to sell? Kohls should ask for their money back.

I can't even describe how I loved that she recommends that people lie to their parents about being so busy with bookings to worry about weight and then a second later said that she cancelled her film because she was too unhealthy to keep working. Amazing.

Also, super great moment where she repeats her faux pas at Thanksgiving by trashing people who would dare to invite her to parties by bragging that she creates scheduling conflicts on purpose so that she doesn't waste her time being around them.

I learned a lot about how Anna is dying, out of work and can't think of anything to say at all to defend why she is 600 pounds, hates everyone she knows, lost her house and all of the money she invested in the film, lives in an apartment so hoarded that she can't fit a tree anywhere which clearly bothered her but she is still so so joyous and so so in love with the "holidays" even though nothing she said applies to any holiday except Christmas but it isn't PC to imply that Christmas is more important or common than whatever Jews and others celebrate.

So I guess the Christmas movie is cancelled.

Some of that hyper vigilant Type A magic:

What a pathetic video. Delusional might be a better word.

She said she couldn’t do the movie because of illness or injury? I don’t think she specified or I wasn’t paying close enough attention. However, what happened to her that put her down for that long? She was starting the movie in summer, and she had a New York and Disney trip after so when did she have an injury that would prevent this movie?.

Her justifications are sad. She says she is a type AAA over-achiever who goes above and beyond, but oddly, one who cannot plan anything. Her dream was to do a fat girl Christmas rom/com but her type A self couldn’t plan for a short illness or injury and like all over-achievers, gave herself permission to stop when it got hard. She tells us she can’t plan - the day after she tells us her insane plans for Christmas snowmen and tubing, but she CAN plan to avoid socializing. Which is stupid. Buy a ticket to avoid an invitation that hasn’t happened yet? Why not just say no? That made no sense.

She has also admitted to not being crafty-well she IS crafty but isn’t always good at it she meant.

She can enjoy Christmas in a house so full of clothes she can’t show it, in a body so full of fat she can’t turn around in the space between fridge and counter, with the only people in her life the ones in her employ. She’ll full of the spirit, y’all. These blogs were probably recorded months ago. Kohl’s should be upset about her whine between selling blankets. She clearly just records them and posts as-is, she doesn’t look at them with a critical eye, like all over-achievers.

What Anna wants us to think:
She’s a carefree girl who can pick up and go do something amazing at a moment’s notice.

She’s a high achiever in everything she does, and very intelligent.

She’s a bit chubby but still a beautiful fashionista and is happy about it all.

Reality:
She’s barely able to function and going anywhere is difficult, from extra seats on planes to checking everyplace to see if accommodate her weight. She cannot be spontaneous and it becoming too much for her.

She is a low-achiever who actually has not accomplished anything beyond being a superfat. Anything good that happened to her is because she is wealthy, but even that is no longer helping. She can’t pronounce simple words, does zero research on her topics, and is too low-IQ to notice.

She’s not chubby, or thickems, she’s extra super morbidly obese infinideathfat, whose cheap clothes almost never fit, and if they do, they are wrinkled or mismatched. And she doesn’t even understand fashion, fabrics or trends, or even what she should wear.

She spends 95% of her day waiting for DoorDash while eating what UberEats just brought, picking at her face and watching TV. It leaks through to us but I guess the demographic that likes her doesn’t believe she lives just like they do.

Is it the ill-sitting eye-makeup or she positively wasted again?
The lids of her piggy little eyes seem lazier than ever.
The under eye eyeliner is doing her negative favors.
Lol, at her calling herself "chubby" again.

This is what irks me about fatties and what they think retro fashion was really like, as you put it. They seem to have this idea that the curvy ideal = fat. There were ads in the 50s encouraging women to do all kinds of tricks to get curvier, but women at the time generally weren’t fat. They wanted the larger hips, but not large waistlines, so clothing was made to give the impression of that kind of figure. Padding was used along with those girdles to make the look sometimes, or the skirts would have petticoats underneath to give the impression of larger hips.

It’s really annoying that fatties have taken people like Marylin Monroe to mean being a landwhale was desired. Marylin wasn’t even fat. If you got too fat in Hollywood in that time, it would either get you smaller/fewer roles, or kill your career altogether in that industry.

Exceptions did exist for roles like Ethel (1950s fat is way different from 2022 fat) in I Love Lucy, but someone like Anna would be way too large. Clothing production wasn’t as industrialized then compared to today either, so it would have been an extra pain to have a 21st century deathfat deal with 1950s Hollywood production parameters.

Finally, without the invention of spandex (which didn’t exist until 1959), deathfats couldn’t wear any retro inspired 1950s clothing. If Anna tried to get an authentic custom 1950s style dress from a seamstress, it would be way more expensive than what she’d be willing to pay.

          • Tactics to get out of talking about her weight:

              • Changes conversation to whatever she feels like talking about and makes sure to put a "humble brag" into it because she "is going to be petty yet still be the mature one."
                • Example

              • She says no one wins and no ones opinion gets changed so no reason to do this.
                • "If you got to get the steam out I get you, I've done it before. Most times I pick my battles though."
    • Give Myself Permission To Do That
  • She states she's a type A that goes over and beyond anything she's asked to do.
    • Um...This kohl's thing is pretty shit...So no...Completely forgot about kohl's about half way through.
  • She gave up on the movie because of her health...yet took trips, bought a shit ton of stuff for hauls, etc.
    • Reminder she SOLD HER HOUSE for a million dollars to do this and stated she was putting almost all the money towards this movie.
      • "I hold too tightly onto things that don't matter."
    • Here are her discussions about how much she spent:
      • Thread 1
        • "She decided why get the new space lets just use all this money for her hallmark movie and passion projects.
          • She says she can use the money now for these projects, MERCHANDISING, and crew to do her holiday costuming and hallmark movie.
            • The amount of money she is investing into this shit has to be in the millions. Businesses are NOT cheap. She complains that she needs to make sure she has extra money because she doesn't want to become tight."
      • Thread 2
        • "She brags that one video alone has the entire budget of a YEAR of her content.
          • This is her "hallmark movie" that she is making for Christmas.
            • She states it is costing her $1,000 a minute to make.
              • She had to get a production assistant and states this will be CINEMA Quality.
        • She says she is now going to pay for videographers, costume designers, audio engineers, stylists."
  • She now focuses on what brings her happiness and pushing everything else away.

So I guess the Christmas movie is cancelled.

Some of that hyper vigilant Type A magic:
Ver archivo adjunto 3992508
Anna uses her kitchen so little its shelves are are used for entirely for cheap prop decor. Door dash and UberEats are the only way cooked meals come to her apartment, and they come several times a day. I figure the only appliance that gets any use is the fridge for keeping wine, soda and ice cream cold.

  • Reminder she SOLD HER HOUSE for a million dollars to do this and stated she was putting almost all the money towards this movie.
    • "I hold too tightly onto things that don't matter."
Clearly she doesn't think her heart matters, seeing the amount of bulk she holds onto. Christ though, what an awful use of time and money. Not to mention that cancelation is not being treated lightly, the people she hired are going to talk and tell people she'll try and hire in the future "yeah she can't manage a budget worth shit, you can rob her ass blind" or worse "she's awful, don't work for her."

Also is pretty damn unprofessional to put it into a sponsored video. And shes been cleaning comments to make sure none of them mention it it seems.
She probably just realized how much ice cream a million dollars would buy her and wanted to shut it down before the oppurtunity was gone.

Do we have a name for this dead movie? A Very Tubby Christmas? was it going to feature a scene of the sleigh not being able to take off because of her weight? or like her hungrily spit roasting a reindeer?
