Syo, I just want to say thank you for the breakdowns on all these. I see all the clips and my eyes glaze over, but seeing the price tags shocks me straight back into reality.
Stop donating canned beans and creamed corn for the love of god. If you wouldn't eat it yourself, don't act like you've done something incredible by donating it.I have been homeless, and people like Anna suck. They donate unusable items or even straight up trash and then congratulate themselves for their humanitarian work.

People like Anna are worse than people who do nothing at all to help the members of their community. When she donates a stupid fondue set, a bunch of dog treat Advent calendars, or a pile of sweaty polyester tarps, she's demonstrating that she doesn't care enough to find out what might actually be needed by the organizations in her area. She further thinks she's entitled to accolades and thanks for her "charity", when she's actually donating shit that literally nobody in a crisis situation could possibly use. From a purely practical standpoint, it sucks to donate useless items to thrift shops, homeless shelters, or domestic violence programs because it just means that someone, probably a volunteer who actually gives a shit, is going to have to take time away from actually doing something useful to sort out and dispose of your trash.
Food is food, and that's great, it keeps you alive, but people like Anna really are doing the "Take my garbage and be grateful" thing with their donations.
You aren't creating "magic" Anna, you're creating clutter.
