Maybe you guys can help me. There is a song I have forgotten the singer and title to. It's an ending theme to an anime. In the picture of the single on youtube it's a bunch of anime girls sitting on a cake.

Could it be the first ending for K-On! season 2 (second ending overall), "Listen" sung by Yoko Hikasa (as Mio Akiyama)?

Wow I didn't expect a reply so fast. No I don't think the anime is as mainstream as K-On! And the picture seemed to be still of the single cover. Thanks for the reply though!

I'm afraid anime girls and cake are kind of a "Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?" Batman Beyond Blight meme kind of deal.

The only other info I have is the singer doesn't show her face. And the songs are similar to Daoko's earlier stuff.

The CD single art for the Yurikuma Arashi opening theme, "Ano Mori de Matteru" by Bonjour Suzuki, has anime girls sitting on what appears to be really thick pancakes with icing and cake accessories.

I know you said that you were looking for the ED but it could be that Google showed the cover art for the OP by mistake.

THATS'S IT OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH. No really I was searching for that for ages and couldn't remember or find it thank you, so much.

I can think of many OPS and EDS but choosing a favorite is a bit tough.

I think for OPs my favorite is Kasabuta the OP to Konjiki no Gash Bell

For EDs my favorite is Inner Urge, the ED to Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (season 2 fucking never).

If you want to know how I found it, I was getting too many pictures of actual cakes with pictures of anime girls on them, or anime cakes baked to celebrate an anime girl's birthday, so then I figured out how to eliminate the cakes from my search: I searched for "CD Japan" (the online store) plus "singles" and kept on scrolling until I saw the YuriKuma Arashi CD cover.

No really I would've never found it without your help. I even forgot it was pancakes instead of a cake. Youtube search has gotten horrible really.

Whenever I hear any of the music from Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, I'm sent back to 2001 when I caught it on SBS on a saturday night. It was my first 'adult' anime, and I loved the art style and aesthetics. What 12 year old boy wouldn't be enamoured with four women in power armour that got more naked as the series progressed?

90s animation aesthetic beats modern lifeless anime with inserted 3D
