Reminds me of a joke Pokémon fansub that pocketmonsters.net did for April Fools’ Day in 2006. I saw screencaps of it a long time ago, but didn’t bother saving them. I distinctly remember one line being translated as “Harley fuckin’ angry!” This kind of stuff is good as a joke you do for fun, but there’s been a trend of “official” translations veering into this territory for a while now.

Honestly, translators for anime, games, etc. shouldn't be credited at all like used to be the case for old foreign film subtitles. These people should do a job and not be noticed. Instead, they become attention whores online on Twitter and elsewhere wanting asspats for other people's creative works and then create little social cliques where they can brag about what dumb meme they inserted into what translation. I think that particular translator mentioned in this thread has like seven articles on Sankaku Complex about her lolcow escapades alone. Why anyone would want to work with someone like that is beyond me, but "localization" is an extremely retarded industry.

Edit: If you want to thumb through it, it's over on MangaDex or NovelUpdates. Frankly, I don't know how they're gonna turn it into an Anime. It's your bog standard Isekai fantasy fair, with a suicidal guy ending up in a fantasy world with video game based superpowers. A bit in, he helps a village which results in a criminal being turned into a slave, which leads him to meeting the slave store owner and seeing the blonde/orange haired girl as a slave, buying her, yadda yadda. Lots of softcore sex scenes with her. Outside of the sex scenes with her, it's a slice of life story about them buying a house and exploring dungeons which is kinda done super quickly, almost as an afterthought. I guess what I'm saying is, there's no conflict here. It's a nice comfy story, pretty standard Isekai fair, and I imagine the novel is a better read then the manga, but, in the couple dozen manga chapters I thumbed through there's no real conflict spot where to end a season of anime on.

The web novel was autistically boring AF. I'm not sure about the light novel version. Then the manga came onto the scene, tightening up the story and adding amazing art that it hardly deserved, polishing it like a gem. And I just noticed there was an anime announcement after reading chapter 57.

As an unabashed slave harem story (it's in the title!), this will either rustle some jimmies or get ignored depending on luck or how the usual suspects feel like handling it.

My guess is that the key point is around chapter 36/37 of the manga, before the MC meets Sherry. I guess 12 episodes could cover that.
