I studied feminism is grad school, male gaze theory is as dumb and straight forward as everyone thinks it is. Considering the fact a fucking cartoon character doesn't have agency like someone who doesn't want to be gawked at on the street, applying it to obscure artworks and fantasy fiction like this is fucking idiotic whatever she thinks the hisotry of "feminsit film criticism" is. For the record, Amelia is Amelia Cook, the founder of AniFem. Stopped being involved with the site after early 2018 and officially announced her retirement shortly afterwards; she wasn't even there to comment on the Shield Hero autism. Post-retirement, she's even less relevant to AniFem than Sevakis is to ANN.
Speaking of Caitlin and generalizing men, another random reply I found while digging for dirt:
If you prefer to see female doctors that's fine, but also, your reasoning for it is basically buying gender stereotypes and dismissing male doctors who do care and aren't dismissive?

The whole argument looks to be over, as it appears one of them has blocked the other (the whole "You’re unable to view this Tweet because this account owner limits who can view their Tweets" is showing up on the guy's QRT of Caitlin, which always shows up if you QRT someone who either you blocked or they blocked you). Can't tell who, because neither of them have said it.
Another LONG argument between her and someone else:

ANN doesn't list any of their writers on that staff page. Just the editors and other management. It's weird because years ago on the older version of the page (one archive), they listed not only all their reviewers but also the forum mods and encyclopedia editors.

I notice the past few "manga guides" (Winter 2021, Spring 2022, Fall 2022) on ANN have said: "We've also made a change this time around! We have a larger pool of reviewers, this time each assigned titles based on their preferred genres." and the reviews inside have definitely showed it. It's definitely improved the "manga guides" from the ones before then, like the one that was just Rebecca and Caitlin reviewing everything being their usual selves (which I posted about on this thread before, but here). I don't know why they haven't bothered to make this change with the seasonal anime preview guide instead of just having the same five reviewers for everything (of which three are consistently dismissive).
