Penguintruth has been a raging terminally online forum faggot for more than a decade. Minor PL, but I've seen him in other places, specifically Kanzenshuu EX (Dragon Ball fan forum) and Behind the Voice Actors comments, and he's always looking to blare out how much he hates something. In the case of the former, if you much as hint that you enjoy Funimation's old in-house dub of DBZ, he'll pop up at some point and REEEEEE about how it's bad. I know at some point he was booted off BTVA; for what I don't know, but probably because he couldn't shut up about some actor or voice that triggered his autism. He has to be well into 30s, likely pushing 40, and he still seethes at really old stupid shit.
That just describes like 90% of the people who have been on this thread. No wonder this guy's been on ANN forums for 17.5 years, because that's definitely the sign of a normal person

He's a 2004 sign-up. Back then, most anime fans were teens in high school or college freshman and so were most ANN forum users. So yeah he's probably 38 or older at this point. I just can't get over the fact some of these people didn't move on from such an annoying over-moderated place after 18 years. We have some real mental cases here.

Edit: He was dumb enough to partially dox himself on Twitter. So yeah he's actually 38 like I said. lol

"I'm so f***ing glad this massive train wreck of a show is coming to an end. It was so great for about four, maybe five seasons, with all that build up and intrigue of the Red John mystery. Then we finally had a final list of suspects! Jane narrowed it down! We were going to know who the killer of Jane's wife and daughter was and how he got away with everything!

And then it was Yosemite Sam, the rootinest, tootinest, shootinest Napa County Sheriff ever, who is afraid of birds and can run through glass doors while shot with little effect, but can't outrun a guy who never does any physical activity, and doesn't have any back up weapons. The woman in the church? Never found anything out about her. The list of Blake Association members? That went nowhere.

Bruno Heller, screw you. There's a reason I don't watch Gotham (well, besides it's a dumb idea to do a Batman show WITHOUT Batman).

You broke my heart. This show broke my heart by being good and then destroying itself in a blaze of incompetence.

If you don't recall my review of the conclusion of the RJ arc, it's here: http://otakurevolution.com/content/pigeon-holed-the-mentalist-flips-fans-the-bird-or-red-red-whine

Here's my music video sendoff of the arc: https://vimeo.com/80520750

Also, Red John should have been Haffner. Visualize member, shook Jane's hand, has an interest in Lisbon, has an anger inside him, access to CBI information. Probably really narcissistic.

Whatever. We'll always have Seasons 1-5.

Tyger, Tyger. "

Don’t insult Carl Wheezer like that. PenguinSpergs voice is way higher pitched and nerdy as far as I’m concerned.
No wonder the dude is bitter, people probably burst out laughing the moment he starts talking. His voice is so fucking ridiculous if you heard it out of the blue, you'd tell whoever was talking that way to knock off the fucking clown act and talk like a normal human being.

You would think that a self-professed "anime reviewer" would understand that in the current industry, anime is almost entirely advertisements for something else. The quality of the anime and the sales of the anime literally do not factor into whether it gets more seasons or not. If it makes a manga/LN/gacha game sell well, we are getting more seasons until it stops being an effective marketing technique. Arifureta got roasted by the entire internet for being terrible and it got another season because guess what? It still increased the book sales. An anime studio could put a picture of a steaming turd on the screen for 12 episodes and if it made the production committee some money there will be more of it.

Personally, I dislike how the industry is so risk-averse that they'd rather keep cranking out mediocre ads instead of taking chances on original projects, but it's not the 90s anymore and studios don't have endless pits of money to throw at creators. Just because "no one remembers" a series in America doesn't mean it's not profitable in Japan. If anything, catering to the tastes of fart-sniffing Western weebs is how we get Crunchyroll Original disasters that barely qualify to be called anime at all.

Rebecca Silverman reviews the Tokyo Mew Mew remake and is having a totally normal one while doing her write up. She gets upset over the scene where Ichigo gets a bell around her neck, calls it "super creepy" and is concerned about how these girls were "injected with endangered species DNA against their will/consent" but brings up the fact that "even Kyubey had to get Madoka's consent before he could turn her into a magical girl." This sounds like a troll review, but she's gotten worked up over other shows in the past. It's amusing for all the wrong reasons. For a well-read English professor that likes to name drop Pretty Cure and the Iriomote cat (which she probably learned about from Azumanga Daioh), she sure as shit can't distinguish fiction from reality.

More like this is someone who's never actually loved magical girl in her life and can't grasp the concept of "theming" and shoujo tropes. Also has unintentionally revealed she clearly has never seen/liked the original Tokyo Mew Mew ever by complaining about this.

B, but Ichigo is a cat. Cats wear bells on their collars...you can't be that fucking stupid and ignorant bitch, bells on cat collars is a thing even here in the States...
That right there, completely negates this review for me, this bitch just wants to start stupid shit for the sake of it.

Like kari kamiya pointed out in another thread about this remake, all the girls pretty much have the same outfit now that, is a legit complaint/criticism .
Not bells are icky... Jebus frakin' christ, what stupid cunt...🤦‍♀️

Well, to be honest, no one should be impressed by the fact someone is an English professor. It's basically where the dumb lazy unimportant people in academia go who don't want to work a real job even more so than usual because there is no practical application for it other than teaching. The fact someone like that would focus on anime while knowing nothing about it isn't surprising. I think at my university there was a "zombie expert" in the English department, like the Marxist political themes in George A. Romero movies aren't telegraphed enough to the point that you actually need some dumb academic paper to point them out to you. lol

What a moronic fucking cunt.. I literally wouldn't care if people like her just dropped dead at this point, if it meant getting them out and away from the fandoms and media I enjoy! (media that they clearly don't) Even a hint at not being able to tell fiction from reality should disqualify someone from reviewing fiction full stop! Same with an inability to refrain from making real world moral/ethical judgments about fiction. (That is... being a moralfag) I've had more than enough of these insufferable nitwits for one lifetime.

ANN finally writes about Anime Matsuri and the premier of the Nippon Animation shorts that Vic worked on. It's a normal press piece until they get to Vic and they mention his allegations, that certain voice actors were unaware of whom they'd be working with but they choose not to mention Anime Matsuri's past controversies.

I remember him when I used to lurk on Ann's forums.
God forbid you ever say anything about dragon balls Japanese va or he'd go on these long tirades about how much better she was than any of his English va.

I wonder if penguin truth is trying to simp for Lynzee?
Like, does he think sucking up to her will get him a spot on ANN?
Or worse...does he want to get in her pants?🤢🤮

Or is he he really just that stupid/bitter/butthurt of a person?

Also, gotta love how they worded that piece. All those things are true per say, however, nothing too nasty is being said, no personal opinion being stated to avoid any kind of legal repercussions...damn, looks like the ass that runs ANN wised up a bit...

I may not be a fan of the fact that those shows got second seasons either but at least I'm just moving on with my life instead of bitching about it on social media, not to mention how anime seasons are decided entirely differently from how they are in the west (and also because there is still a niche market for them, otherwise what would be the point?)

People who actually have good taste in media don't need to constantly remind you that they have good taste, they let their recommendations do the talking for them. Speaking from personal experience as well, these people will also end up liking shows that are low rated and then end up jumping through Olympic level mental gymnastics to justify why they liked it to sound like a pseudo-intellectual when they could easily just go "It's extremely flawed but there's something about it I just like that I can't explain."
