Is that the Cyndi Lauper song? If it's integral to the plot, I could see them paying the big bucks to license it for the anime but only if it's a once-off.
There's a music box she gifts to "Daisy" that plays it, so it's not a one-off. I'm gonna assume this was why an anime wasn't being made until recently (on top of the age-gap lmao Twitter's gonna explode).

Huh.

Game Akuyaku Kizoku ni Tensei Shita Ore wa, Chiito Kin'niku de Musou Suru, some dumb isekai where the gimmick is that the MC and his butler/servants/buddies are meathead gym rats and muscles are magic. It's not always this gay.

I remember seeing an anime back in the VHS days that was aboit fighter pilots, I think they were fighting a war in fictional country, it was kind of like Top Gun.

Does anyone know the watch show I am talking about?

Finished watching Smoking behind a supermarket with you. Pretty crazy some episodes were only 8 minutes long. Other then that, it was a pretty chill watch.
It looks like it was supposed to be 6 episodes they weirdly split into halves. Man, they really didn't get far, I already hate keeping up with the manga monthly I can't imagine trying to do so with purely anime releases.

Hard disagree but to each their own.

The story being told now was previously mapped out by Miura himself before his passing. Plus, I've enjoyed the stuff post-Miura's passing.

I want an ending, damn it. lol.
I never started Berserk manga because I thought Miura would die before he finished and he did.

Then Mori took over and is planning to finish it. I am waiting him finish the manga so I can finally start again.

time for the weekly hokuto no SNCA, nothing major to report outside of an extremely minor and nitpicky case of maybe not outright plain censorship but making sure things remain tasteful, as tasteful as "man exploding bodies from within" can get anyway

the scene where Kiba Daio orders captured villagers killed is potrayed from a different angle compared to the manga and even the 1986 anime

the reason nobody should go full purist on this is because the remake is easily the most gory and gruesome adaptation of HnK and showing a child getting repeatedly stabbed in vivid detail would not only be gutwrenchingly painful to watch but highly distasteful given the shit that's happening in the world right now, so they opted for an offscreen version with the "last grasp at life" trope

another detail that escaped me in the manga is how clueless Rei actually was, if you know you know - and I don't mean just him not knowing about Raoh, Toki and Jagi

they went all out with gore, but how about nudity?
are you allowed to show boobies in a show where spines explode out of people's backs and you can count every wrinkle on the intestines?
yeah, you are, and you get to witness the awful anatomy Hara is notorious for, if Araki draws manfaced bricks then Hara draws noodles

it's also unfortunate to know that whatever radiation ravaged the Earth in the HnK universe, it retroactively caused all men to mutate and lose their nipples while women became unaffected

and here's a bonus

and a reply weapon to use against troons

Having female nipples immediately bumps it above most modern adaptions that have zero issue showing a man bisected in two, but a nipple is the red circle line.
