Major show ED energy and yet it was just for fashion in 1988, goddamn we need this kind of energy back now.

The series is split into 2 timelines (OVA 1 + Movies) and (TV + OVA 2 + EZY).

Release order is (OVA 1 > Movie 1 > TV > OVA 2 > Movie 2 > Movie 3 > Upcoming EZY movies)

Even though they aren’t officially connected, it’s still better to watch it in release order as one of the plot points of movie 2 is about the team getting back together, and I don’t think it’ll hit as hard if you’ve just seen the first OVA and Movie 1. (And also the TV series is way better than the first OVA imo)

The songs sound like they are openings from 00s anime like Eureka Seven or FMA 2003.

I started reading one final fantasy manga that kinda adapts one of the first game mainly because it was done by Yuu Kinutani, who I am a fan of his work. And holy shit the art is so different from his later style but still very cool in a 80s way. Kinda feels like it is done by shirow masamune

And everything is so detailed holy shit, the scenarios and background are so fucking good and the chocobos looks like dinosaurs that are gigantic.

And the character designs is also pretty fucking cool. Even for someone who never played FF.

There are two more volumes to go, but I already loved the first volume.

I guess it depends. I still like MHA even after the bumps during the journey, and the ending is not exactly terrible - even if it's far from great. But I'll never touch Call of the Night because, apparently, the journey itself is not worth it for such a lame ending.

With new and ongoing shows this is more tricky, sometimes you just have to gamble.

Recently splurged and got a lot of Ancient Magus Bride stuff. Blu-rays for the anime, supplement books, and the last volume of Wizard's Blue. Haven't gotten my hands on the Jack Flash spin-off yet but I gotta read the Light Novels where they appear first

Aren't some of the OVA 2/"New File" episodes set in-between episodes of the TV series? It gets confusing because the second OVA series episodes were originally bonus episodes from the individual Patlabor TV series Laserdiscs which I believe were 3+1 episode discs.

I went and read those MAL descriptions you mentioned and you’re right about Haibara’s being so boring: “Watch as Haibara takes a second shot at his teenage years!” How about no lmao

Heard Agents of Four Seasons was made by the author behind Violet Evergarden, so I'm gonna check it out. KyoAni isn't behind the animation, but Studio Wit is a good enough substitute and from the clips I've seen it's pretty well animated with a great soundtrack

Literally the only thing Evergarden had going for it was the animation and it was still garbage, so this is going to be turbo garbage.
 
I have been exposed to the EN dub of the remake, so no you will have to suffer with me

I don't know the overall state of modern EN dubs but this is a disaster of unparalleled proportions, literally just should have gone for Matthew Mercer
instead I get a goofier Walton Simmons without a pop filter
