Dang, just found out that some random age gap romcom shoujo manga that I read the first volume 12 years ago was finally fully translated. And after reading it I can assure you that it wasn't worth the time at all.

Also found out that the Ghost in the shell manga was completed. I read some chapters years ago but gonna start all over again to complete the 8 volumes.

Between the long hours, (apparent) cyberization, and a perp nearly stealing his daughter to get back at him I can't help but view it as plausible that the job would eventually tear his marriage apart. Mean spirited? Sure. But I kind of saw it coming after SSC.

His crimes are great, that's true.

The way Tite Kubo thought of finishing him off was also bullshit in some sense, but understandable when you consider that Yamamoto is supposed to be the greatest showcase of pure, destructive and offensive force. Having him being beaten legitimately would tarnish that part of his character, so shenanigans had to be made.
 
Question for old school manga readers, anyone know when they stopped doing the old partial color pages/2 color pages
couple of examples to what I'm talking about:

I want to say late 90s or early 2000s depending on the publisher (I have an old seinen manga form 2003 that still used a few, but iirc jump stopped doing them in the mid 90s),
I'm pretty sure the practice died out because of cost reasons, which is a bit of a shame since I'm starting to have a a soft spot for these old limited color chapters, even more then the rare full color one's, and I can think of a few modern series that I think would benefit from this limited pallet.

Jump still does them, but they’ve been limited to series premiers or the occasional chapter covers in long-runners (which ends up mostly being One Piece these days). You could definitely find series from up until 2010 that got color pages, but they’re expensive and only work as advertising for the magazines which means they translate poorly to the black-and-white-only tankobons. With digital releases becoming more common, there have been newer series that have color pages, however.

I wasn't talking about normal color pages since I know one series in jump gets 3 color pages every week and 3 series get a single color page.
These red/2 tone color pages used to be given for entire chapters, off the top of my head, early Dragon Ball had a bunch, JoJo had a handful from parts 1-4, and YYH has a few. Eventually only a few pages in a chapter where partially colored like this and at some point the only color pages where the full colored ones you mentioned
