The problem is that the hood covers the skull mask in the second and third stages, they never bothered to censor the third stage too, so they always could see the skull. It really doesn't make sense

Eh. I'm one of those people who thinks less can be more. I like a classic story of "good guy vs bad guy" every once in a while (usually as a break from more complex stuff) and, well, the show was just that. Simple as. Hate on me all you want, I just don't care.

You can make a 'good guy vs bad guy' story that is enjoyable and has high re-watch value, like sCRYed, or you can be Ubukata Tow and turn whatever concept you're given into schlock which will be forgotten as soon as its run is over.

AKAIK those were all done by the Chinese and Korean localizers. This is the first time that localizers got Japanese staff involved, in this case recording Japanese dialogue that will never be heard by a Japanese audience. It's frankly unprecedented. It's like if they had gotten Brock's Japanese actor to record a line about jelly filled donuts while holding onigiri.

Watched Zom 100 after hearing all the hype about it, checked out after 6 episodes. It's like if r/antiwork decided to make an anime. Not just because of the message, but because of the way it keeps slapping you over the head with it like you're a lobotomized retard.

In general, I'm going to be extremely wary of series that are middling in Japan and suddenly blow up thanks solely to the foreign market. 20 years ago that was a sign a manga/anime was top-tier, now that (along with Crunchyroll/Viz Media showing up on the production committee) seems to be the surest-fire sign that it's gonna suck.

In general, I'm going to be extremely wary of series that are middling in Japan and suddenly blow up thanks solely to the foreign market. 20 years ago that was a sign a manga/anime was top-tier, now that (along with Crunchyroll/Viz Media showing up on the production committee) seems to be the surest-fire sign that it's gonna suck.

This is how I feel about Lycoris Recoil and the new Gundam lately as I feel they have been astroturfed by shitty western zoomers due in to no part because of yuri shipping. God knows how many anime movies I've watched that suddenly became the talk-of-the-town when once viewing, turns out to be shit.
