jojo is love, jojo is life. also any of you nerds have good mecha anime recommendations. i am trying to get back into the genre. i just finished iron blood orphans a week, and I've been in a mood for some robot action.

The way I see it, the fact that the opening isn't 3D further shows how different Part 4 is compared to Parts 1-3.

I would also like to point out Koichi's awkward as hell pose in the opening. I hope he won't be waiting too long for his stand to show up

That caught me off guard too to be honest. Not sure the reasoning though.

As for the episode itself, it was intense (for lack of a better word). And gory, really really gory.
 
Now, I know this is generally not the kind of thing you expect to find in an anime thread but it is anime nonetheless, so:


Mushi Pro's 1973 art film, Belladonna of Sadness, is finally getting released in America. It'll be touring art house theaters throughout the country starting this May. (It'll be in my area in May, and I fully intend to see it.)
 
People complain about the boat in Berserk but probably don't realize that to this very day Akagi is still playing the same mahjong match against Washizu on the same night for over 10 years.
 
Read through the entirety of Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstances over the course of a week. It was a manga that I've read back in High School, but only read about half of the series. So I decided to revisit it.

I really enjoyed it overall. Yukino and Soichiro are really interesting and well developed main leads and they go through quite a bit of heavy stuff despite the manga's generally cheery and light-hearted tone.

A lot of the side characters were pretty interesting in themselves. However, I kinda feel Tsubasa had a bit too much time in the spotlight compared to everyone else. I would have liked to seen more of Maho or Rika or Aya. I mean, the former had like two volumes worth of story compared to other three who only had like one to three chapters to themselves.

Also, the thing with Tsubasa and her stepbrother is friggen weird. Like, I get they aren't related, but it still made me squirm a little.

The story arc right after that though pretty much made up for it though. Holy shit.
