There's plenty of solid modern stuff but to refuse to watch anything older than 2010 is asinine.

Are both seasons of GATE worth watching? The setting is really interesting to me, but seems to get boring after 6 episodes.

More like 60% of the pre-2010 is great and 5% of post-2010 is worth a watch.

They're good if you like seeing Japanese jingoism and seeing medieval troops get bombed and shot. I didn't find it particularly engaging in terms of story but its a fun/dumb watch.

Sentai Filmworks/AMC has the rights to the series, and I just hope they don't opt to tie everything to their streaming service in the future and stop physical releases.

This man was one half of the duo who helped give us The Laughing Salesman and Doraemon to the world, while also being mentored by Osamu Tezuka and paving the way for guys like Shotaro Ishinomori and Fujio Akatsuka to create Kamen Rider and Osomatsu-kun.
Him and the late Hiroshi Fujimoto deserve all the success and praise for making timeless works.

I'm glad that The Laughing Salesman is getting a resurgence on youtube. You wouldn't expect it to be from the same guy who helped make Doraemon. The mix of dark comedy and greedy comeuppance are a real nice change of pace from your usual shows.
Now that you mention it I need Black Jack and Pinoko nendos yesterday.

I'm so happy the poor family gets to eat meat. Having the protagonist be poor as hell can be funny but Shamiko has it reach depression level.
