People call him weak, low fight IQ, gay over this fight and how he fought. I'm personally astounded at how bad of a strategic move it is. How monumentally dumb to risk your brand, popular with hustler muslims, on a fight in your 40s.
Like look at Mike Tyson, he got a massive payday for his influencer fight and he looked like he could have won if he really tried. His money isn't coming from any kind of pyramid scheme or range of products, so his brand isn't something that he's making much money on.
Even if Mike Tyson would have been completely devastated, the age gap is big enough and his fighting accomplishments high enough, that nobody would really think less of him.
Going for this fight looked like a move of pure ego, and losing it like inflated ego. It's just so monumentally stupid. I don't think he would have gained much even if he had won, because in the minds of people that mattered (the young dumb guys that pay him) he was already a kickboxing champion. But not so anymore.
