Dobson seems to quickly make himself unpopular with co-workers (he's been in the role for only 4 months). He's recently demanded and fussed to get some days off so he can go sell comics at a con and possibly acted like a sourpuss a lot.
Coworkers prank him, or he deliberately left a radio somewhere in a loo and forgot about it. Rather than roll with or accept his mistake, he goes to a Supervisor - and this apparently isn't the first time - because the supervisor basically tells him that it's not his problem, then tells him to suck it up when he's put on restroom duty again.
He and a partner clean the planes lavs, take a break and then get a call saying that they actually missed two planes. Dobson hopes his partner will take the call (they don't), but he does it instead. He then gets stressed because he believes they did all the planes, and they just want to torture him - so much that he drives the service truck in the wrong direction before finally making it back to the planes.
(He notes the planes will be delayed "because a flight attendant or captain is being a prick" - because expecting a cleaned lav before take-off for passengers is being an ass I guess)
The supervisor is frantically calling at this point and livid because it's pulling the team down. Dobby at this point is already in wounded "everyone's a dick to me" mode and snaps at her. She gives him a professional verbal slapdown and tells him to do his damn job. he drives to one of the planes and a bunch of ramp agents are sarcastically applauding their arrival (because now they are officially being delayed due to dobbys incompetence) Dobson decides he's wholly justified to give them a one finger salute and tell them to fuck off.
He apparently cleans the loo super hard so it's the cleanest loo ever, then comes out of the plane to his supervisor demanding his badge and telling him he's suspended due to 5 people filing complaints about him flipping the bird and his overall awful attitude.
Dobson is frogmarched out while he explains that he was trying to "stand up and defend myself" as was apparently suggested earlier. The supervisor tells him she's never known anyone complain so much about supposed "harassment", he's weak, and that they'll call him if they need him ever again.
He states he's already behind on household bills ("the electric and internet bills are long overdue now") but he and the girlfriend go out for a buffet then buy and do some arts and crafts to help him feel better anyway.
