Adam West's Batman, I probably have mentioned in this very thread, is one of my favorites. I'd easily put his portrayal of Batman on the same level as Heath Ledger's Joker, with all that entails.

Also, people will mourn his death, unlike Dobbo's.

Since there's Batman topic going on, i want to share Dobbu's 'First impressions' of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Remember that game, right? 10/10 on Steam, 91% Metacritic, technical marvel with awesome Metroidvania approach and just a love letter to the franchise in general. Awesome effort from Mark Hamill and Keving Conroy as well.

Here's what the Blue Fuck thinks about it:

"Boring. Yes let’s spend the first 20 minutes walking SLOWLY down a hallway with the Joker making vaguely homophobic conversation with Batman. I mean, OK, I get the idea that The Joker is suppose to be kinda gay for Batman all thanks to Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight comic... but has it ALWAYS been this overt? Playing the intro to the game actually kinda felt uncomfortable because of how homophobic the writing seemed to be. It just reminded me of how Hollywood likes to portray feminine traits as being kinda “evil.”

I am sorry for West's passing, but the guy was 88 and he suffered from leukemia. So I would say it was unavoidable down the road. I just hoped he didn't have to suffer for long and that he rests in peace. Second, while the Batman series made him well known, I assume he was also involved in other stuff. And I hope people will remember him for that stuff too. Like I may not be a big fan of Family Guy, but I will admit he had a few funny lines as mayor in it.

As for Dobson whinning about the evil DC fanboys now who "hated Adam West and his show for over 30 years, because it was silly and represents everything they did not want, which is why no one likes Batman&Robin", I ahve to say the following:

No one likes silly Batman stuff? Then explain to me why there was a Batman 1969 comic series only published the last couple of years and why one of the better Batman animated series of the decade was Batman Brave and the Bold. Or why Adam West's involvement with other Batman related stuff was greatly appreciated by some people over the last years and people developed a fond love for the original series.

Batman & Robin sucked for many because they felt it was just too silly, even for West's Batman in a time that lets fac eit, was not gentle to superhero movies in general. And if anything, it is people like you, who make it that others hate it for what it is so hard to the point, Joel Schuhmacher is probably afraid to leave the house without some autistic idiot like you or Doug Walker throwing a rock at him.

And don't pretend like you are the greatest Batman fan of all time or that you even cared for the "original" stuff. You only bring Batman up when you have to spill some random vile regarding something you want to exploit or because feminists say "Batman is bad cause of representation." But it is not surprising Dobson is like that. This is the guy who doesn't udnerstand technical aspects of any craft in general. I mean, this is a guy who when you force him to watch a movie will not acknowledge in any way the aesthetics or the story, but just say "BOOOOORED" or "I feel insulted" if something happens that makes his infantile brain uncomfortable.

For example, he genuinely hated the Watchmen movie, not because it was a "bad adaptation" or something, but because that genetically engineered jaguar thing got killed.

So killing countless for "the greater good" is an okay, but one Jaguar that is where he draws the line? I think I get why Dobson made fun of the Aurora shooting victims or insults people mourning: He is a psychopath who does not understand human suffering.
