💼 Careercow Andrew Dobson (aka Tom Preston)

Dobson shouldn't be called a Careercow. He has no career.

CWC's art is making more money than dobson's. Think about that.

Chris also puts more love into his craft, and actually works on a sort of schedule. Dobbo just blubbers impotently to try and get views without doing any work whatsoever.

So, I played his Mario Maker stages and they range from "eeechh" to average.

The first one was incredibly short and lacking in content, and seemed to just be edited off of one of the sample levels in the game. It's acceptable I guess since it is his first stage and you're given a limited amount of tools to start with.

The second and third ones were just totally unexceptional. The level design in these two felt lazy and unpolished. They don't feel like Dobson put himself in the mind of the player at all and it certainly doesn't feel like he tested these before sticking them online. The in and out of Bowser's Castle one had a decent idea I guess, but the level design ruins it.

The 4th one was certainly a lot better, though it had some really stupid parts in it. Dobson made it very possible for you to skip over a lot of the level effortlessly. I managed to gloss over quite a bit of the mountain scaling part and I skipped an entire sequence where you had to break blocks with a koopa shell by complete accident. There were also a few questionable bits where he put in incoming hazards that are very difficult for the player to see coming and for some reason he put a large bundle of coins right above a bottomless pit where they are impossible to get. He also thought it would be a good idea to put in a large, never ending puke green background texture for a good chunk of the stage.

Again, it felt like he was too eager to stick this one online without testing it properly.

So whats the bigger game play abortion
Dobsons mario levels
CWC little big planet
Or Rev 60
Not played Rev 60 but Chris is way better at level design than Dobby.

Dobby's levels have ridiculous things like invisible blocks in the middle of jumps and one level called "Follow the Arrows" which last time I checked had a success rate of 17.5% because an arrow is pointed at the bottom of a cliff and I had to go into the editor to see he wanted people to go backwards and not go where the arrow is pointing.
