I hope Patreon takes action on this, I'd love to know what goes on in his mind to come to the conclusion that dropping this guy from the raffle was fair, and if nothing is done about it he'll just do something even worse later on.

It is literally nonsense when applied to a video game character. It cannot mean anything. I presume the person confused the phrase with "lack of agency," which when describing aa fictional character means "the character isn't depicted as taking action, but just has stuff happen to them."
"Lack of authorial ownership" might describe, for example, a situation where a teacher publishes a book of funny shit written by their students but doesn't give them credit.
Dobson isn't Jewish. His family are apparently Presbyterian. Did you miss the whole thing where he was talking smack about Hanukkah while at a Hanukkah party?

Well, if they mean Kojima's authorial ownership, I think he took pretty clear authorial ownership of why Quiet doesn't speak and why she wears scanty clothing and how he doesn't particularly care if some people don't like that, because they can vote with their wallet and just not buy the frigging game.

It is official Patreon policy on this that Patreon considers a raffle to be gambling. That would mean illegal gambling. Patreon itself could be reported to the federal and state authorities for allowing illegal gambling.

The fact that demanding money to be entered into a lottery pool is illegal is why, if you ever play one of those McDonald's or other fast food sweepstakes offers, there will be something in fine print offering you a free game piece if you write to some address, and why it will always say NO PURCHASE REQUIRED.
Andrew Dobson is violating both Patreon's stated policies and federal criminal law.
He can be reported to Patreon, and both Patreon and Dobson can be reported to the feds if they do not shut this criminal gambling operation down.
This shit is no joke.
(Obviously, the fact that he's rigged his illegal gambling operation also makes it fraudulent, but legally, that's the least of his problems.)
