He's just so rich that he can't relate to us normal people!! Truly, the greatest problem our generation faces.

Even still, his comment was dumb. Notch doesn't relate to people because he's a self-important dick. He was self-important before he became a multi-millionaire, and he still is. It's not due to any money, it's his personality.
I don't know Notch's life story, but it seems like his wife got together with him for money, and he was too stupid to realize it. That is sad for sure. But he's not barred from relating to people due to having a lot of money. It's because he centered his life around his fame and money because he's shallow and let it go to his head.

Money doesn't buy happiness. But it sure as hell dulls the sadness.
Okay in all seriousness: Yes, having lots of money doesn't make you automatically happy. In fact you can become addicted to spending it to the point you are broke again before you know, people may take advantage of you etc. Heck, Robin Williams had tons of money thanks to his movies and a high reputation and how did that end? But, Dobson's post as explained here is just dumb. It is the sort of condescending statement he makes, that also kind of becomes offensive towards people who don't have money. On one hand he seems to make fun of that Notch guy (frankly, I don't know who that is) for having now that money and I wonder, why? I don't know how he earnt it, but if he earnt it by dumb luck and work, he still put more effort in making it than Dobson puts in his career. Second, if he is also making fun of people who don't have much money, perhaps he should spend a month in a homeless shelter without twitter. Lets see him earn his money as a street artist.
