Wow! I just realized what this image of Sam reminded me of. The proportions remind me of a more refined version of this-
So to get this straight... the proportions in a drawing from a professionally-taught artist is starting to become reminiscent of the drawings done by some infamously bad webcomic shlock fest.
(To be fair, the legs on Dobson's Sam are a bit better proportioned then the ones on Jack, but the heard, arms, and ribcage strike me as eerily similar).
And even as bad as Jack is, you can tell that Catherine Alvheim put a lot more passion into her this drawing than Dobson did in Sam.

WTF is that? I am laughing right now. This looks like someones bad attempt at doing a Splatterhouse doujinshi. And I agree with you on that thing still having more effort put into it then Dobson's one. At least she seems to have worked also with different shades of skin color along the surface instead of using the fill bucket.

I don't think that point was posted much, but the actual break-up happened offline - as in, the messages and all - it seems to me.
In comparison, we do have his journal about how much her family sucked for trying to give him a happy Christmas despite being Jewish and he refused to play along like a real man would.

In light of all our discussion following that... lovely(?) drawing(?) of Sam from AzP, let's talk about what Dobson did right.
I'll start.

So he's got a rotten personality and chimps out a lot. Okay, that's good enough to go on. But why are we all bashing his art? It really isn't that bad. The expressions are varied, even the "ugly" faces have a point. It's caricature and exaggeration and those things go hand in hand with cartoon drawings. When I see a cartoonist draw stuff I don't expect Da Vinci tier things with perfect proportions that loveshies would fap to. As long as there's enough variety and color and expression, I don't see why I should be demanding more.
His "plotlines" suck and he's a whiny delusional beta nerd. That's already plenty to laugh at and I think we should be pointing at that and mocking him for it. There seriously isn't anything bad about his art and to screech about it for 700+ pages strikes me as just excessive. We're flogging a dead horse here, and it wasn't even one that particularly deserved to die.

I pulled these out of my recycling bin just for you. These are from drawings Dobson posted to his Patreon. In other words, he expected people to pay for this horseshit.
Dobson went to college to make art. These are mistakes he could have fixed in two minutes if he put forward his best effort. Dobson's problem isn't that he can't draw. It's that he's lazy and expects to be showered with praise for minimal effort.

He had over *TEN YEARS* to make any improvements but his life had been reduced to telling the daughter of a recently deceased father his equivalent to "Shut the Fuck Up". It wasn't a mistake either. He is a vapid cunt hipster that needs to trip on a shoelace and eat the humble pie.
Giving him the benefit of the doubt would be like saying Rush Limbaugh is misunderstood. You just can't defend someone like Tom Preston.

People like talking about bad art, and Dobson is extremely sensitive to criticism of his art style. If you want to talk about other stupid things Dobson does, feel free to do so. Personally, I find discussion of how Dobson sucks at art and storytelling to be more interesting than endlessly reiterating how much of a hypocrite he is, but hey, that's up to you.

It amazes me how the bot uses all those tweets to create something better than Dobson ever could. It's almost like there's an actual heart within it, unlike its creator.

It's like this: If I draw a silly character and say "I made THING!" nobody bats an eye because I made a thing, but if I draw something shitty and say "Da Vinci can suck my balls, he's a kid compared to me!", people are going to critique the shit out of me since I'm comparing myself to someone better than me.
That's the problem with Dobson: His art is not really super terrible, it IS bad for someone who supposedly went to college, but the fact he keeps saying to other more talented artists "what you did is garbage" while being terribly worse himself, that's what gets him so much critiques, and since Dobs doesn't seem to want to stop and keeps making remarks on how his stuff is the mostest bestest in the world, people will keep pointing out the very dumb mistakes he makes in hopes to try to get through his thick skull that he isn't the god of art he claims to be.
He even tweeted he knows about the mistakes but that he's too lazy to correct them, which only brings him even more shit.
TL;DR
His skills are above the general joe and we all know it, but since he states that his art is flawless, we simply point him out that it's not.
