She doesn't blink (unless you count her closing her eyes once) maybe it's just too early on to draw that in, but I figure since Dobson is used to comics where he doesn't have to make the characters blink he simply forgets its a thing. I looked back on his Patreon video and didn't to make the blue monstrosity blink either. What exactly did he learn at art school?

Well he certainly didn't learn that not making your characters blink puts them smack dab into the uncanny valley.

Listening to that soundfile I have to question the sanity of anyone who is emotionally moved by that... It's just awkward and so... underwhelmingly bad how neither VAs really give a shit about what they say. Add to that the sappy music and the shitty quality and I wonder what has to go wrong in order for someone to put any weight on that stuff.

With that amount of raw emotion (ie: none), they could easily just be talking about the weather or what they are going to eat for dinner.

Oh, that's very very optimistic IMO...

1. Scooby is actually useful from time to time + he cannot talk (except his nearly inarticulate catchphrase), which probably is a good thing. Also, the Great Dane is friendly towards people and never tries to be annoying intentionally.
2. Velma is quite attractive if you view her with the right mind- and "heartset". Some people like a chubby nerd girl in a miniskirt! And she's intelligent and competent (read: the only intelligent person in that group) and has a big heart, no cruelty here.
3. Shaggy has the most fun among the Scooby gang, he's constantly in a good mood except when he's scared out of his mind. Very different from Sam, who seems to be a non-consensual sub in a BDSM relationship.
4. Daphne is mainly a damsel in distress and doesn't do much, Fred is your friendly naive next-door "alpha male" sporty dude, and not a dirty old man who constantly steals bras.

You see, they're extremely different from the AzP fuckups.

I did some digging, and it turns out the actual fucking voice actors for Korra and Asami were the ones that did those lines:
So that explains the overall half ass'd nature of the whole thing, because not only did they record the lines separately, but one was just asked to do it for fun at a convention and the other was also doing it for fun on a podcast.
