Skyrim remains exceptionally glitchy to this day. I honestly can't imagine playing without console commands to save my ass when the game bugs out. Also, Xboxes have a reputation for dying suddenly and unexpectedly. Since it sounds like he'll only use it to play Skyrim I don't think it's a worthwhile investment.

He should put that money toward a better computer.

I tried to watch that video and the first 35 seconds told me everything I needed to know.
The first 4 seconds of the video welcomes you with this message:

Either way, if Dobbsy doesn't do his research he's going to get very disappointed!

Check the comments, 3 people already said you can't mod but apparently Dobs is now an expert and knows it IS possible and even "is easy to do". People are now giving him shit for all this Skyrim drama.
Oh well, anyway, why save for a new PC which can run any game decently when you can simply buy old crap for cheap and be stuck with it and realize it was a really dumb decision.

As much as I hate the majority of players in MMO's, I at least get that most of the fun actually does come from interacting with those boneheads.

Technically speaking, you COULD mod Xbox ES, but it would be a massive pain to do unless you have tech info far above Dobson's skill set:

As much as I hate the majority of players in MMO's, I at least get that most of the fun actually does come from interacting with those boneheads.

Dobson would basically fail the entire social aspect (guilds, teaching new players, raids, teamwork) and refuse to interact with anyone who isnt an ass patter but he would also fail the entire PVP experience.

He also can't transfer his saves to an Xbox, as far as I know. If he got a new PC he would only have to save his game to a zip drive or use the Steam Cloud and everything would be fine. He's needlessly over-complicating things.

As others have pointed out a new PC would also help him with his art. A PC can be used for work and play. An Xbox cannot.

If i want new stuff i do some overtime at work, give up my weekend or cut back on beer and fags.
But when the hipster welfare crowd want nice things they start begging and their fanbase goes along with it.
They dont offer to do more work or offer any real reward in return for additional funding. Its just more money for nothing for the likes of Dobbie and Wu.

Don't be mad at that, think about it this way: The only people who support lazy bums (like Dobson), are lazy bums themselves. These lazy bums get their money from their parents (my heart goes to them) but what they don't realize yet is that they are throwing away their own savings into other lazy bums. They are going to reach a moment when they don't really have any more money to give (because parents decided to cut off funding or something) and when they beg for money, other dumb lazy bum will give it to them and then the cycle starts all over again... in other words, it's a cycle which makes a lazy bum poor and redistributes this poorness into other lazy bums until all of them are beggers, which to me is funny more than anything because other sane people won't give them a cent.

Heck, I'm inclined to say this already happened to Dobs since he has a mediocre job and doesn't wants to work harder so he's desperately begging, also his own "fans" already stated that they can't help him in a monetary way (DA poll clearly states this) so everything is slowly going down the drain, especially if Dobs is releasing less and less art with each passing day.
