I don't think that's the case as he also installed the hypothermia mod which makes the game significantly more difficult. He honestly thinks he's a good person for not killing fake animals.

Someone should tell him about the Yulin Festival in China where they eat dogs and cats or the butchering of horses in Karzakhstan. Perhaps where animals getting skinned for accessories and the factory farming in the US.
