I heard that they gave her some kind of PTSD, too. As a sufferer of PTSD I'm sure Dobson can...

Heh...

No, I can't finish that with a straight face.
The problem with the PTSD is that it doesn't come with enough support context.

Samus sees Ridley show up and start yelling at her, and she regresses to a state of weakness and can't bring herself to fight him until a MAN tries to save her, and she doesn't even finish him off then.

And part of the problem is that Other M is set post-Super Metroid, at which point Samus has killed Ridley around six times. Yet she reacts as if it's the first time. [And even the original comics didn't do it as egregiously, and DID put it as the first time.]

If Samus had said anything on the level of "Again, again, again... WHY WON'T YOU DIE, RIDLEY" instead of feeling like a baby once more, it wouldn't be as bad, honest.

It's actually because between Super Metroid and Other M, Ridley showed up and sprayed Samus with some water.
She still literally shakes when she thinks about it.

They hate it because of implied sexual assault and a woman being attacked.
Women must never be the victim and rape is literally worse than the holocaust and must never be used in a story.
Conveniently they ignore the horror Jim Gordon goes through in the story and instead focus on one aspect. One aspect that carried over to the main universe that transformed a largely ignored Batwoman (until the new52, she actually wasn't even the longest running character as Batwoman, I don't know that she is now, but she was mainly known as Batwoman because of the TV/Movie media) into one of the strongest disabled heroes in comics.

Babs has never gotten the upgrade to Batwoman shes always been Batgirl which is a bit of a joke considering shes supposed to be in her early 30s.
She was hardly much of a character before the killing joke, just a slightly more capable version of Robin that still needed to be rescued on a regular basis but also did typical girl stuff. All the hacker/ tech geek stuff came much later.

I drew my own interpretation of dobby bear:

I know the glasses float but it looked weird when I had them resting on his ears.

Well it completely refefined Barbara Gordon's character, making her go from a Batman clone to a capable handicapped intelligence expert, and it was the first comic to go us a legitimate look into Joker's former life and actually made him sympathetic. Since it reveals that Joker only tries to drive people insane the way he does because he feels insecure that he snapped after "one bad day", and that in a way he actually regrets everything he's done, but he cant stop himself.

TL: DR, yeah it actually did change a lot of things in the batman series and Dobby's just bitching because it hurt his feels.

... or an author say "Well! Twilight is badly written wish-fulfillment for prude, under-fucked, female teens and tweens?", of course not! That would be unprofessional!

To be fair, Stephen King did said something along those lines about Stephenie Meyer's work but more precisely: "Stephenie Meyers can't write worth a darn, she is not very good." Of course this prompted her fans to sperged up a storm, cringe worthy hilarity aplenty followed.

Hey guys! I figured out why Dobson has such a rageboner for Batman:

So essentially Dobby wants to rewrite Barbara Gordon as totally able-bodied by making Killing Joke non-canon. Isn't that essentially a form of white-washing for physically disabled people?

I'd wager there's more than a few wheelchair-bound folks that appreciate a positive portrayal of a wheelchair-bound heroine in comics. Even the SJW's can't argue against that.

As for the 'sexy' photos Joker took to torment Jim Gordon, wouldn't it make sense for the Joker, one of the most disturbing sociopaths in media, to exploit a father's worst fear to the fullest degree? Though I guess you could still reasonably argue Barbara being used as a prop is problematic, but I don't see how that merits enought hate to say it should be erased from Batman continuity.

Also if you find the idea of a young naked woman with a bullet wound sexy, you need to seek help.

Usually professionals don't say anything bad about the work of another professional, no matter how much critics rip that work to shreds. At best they will say something vague like: "I don't think Stephenie Meyers books are meant for me." when prompted.

Really? Writers are the most notorious feuders I've ever seen. They constantly trash each other both in public and behind the scenes.

The reason is: Batman is famous, easy as that.
Most SJW sing with their choir and wait for the next big thing to flock around and shout at, something they can call something-something-phobic. They are looking for easy targets, like popular culture, news, games, media and so on, whatever spurs the biggest reaction from "the other side" at the given moment. I doubt that any SJW-tumblrista will take some form of real political initiative and try to actually change something, that lies outside of current media or affairs. No SJW will sit down and calmly explain someone why something might be problematic, nor do they take the time to look at the subject in question from at all angles, because then it wouldn't be an easy target anymore.

Being a generic SJW is not about changing anything, it is about being heard, being taken serious, acknowledged and accepted. The cause does not matter, but the group does, although they might tell you otherwise. SJWs are about being 'unhappy', 'scared' and 'angry' and to have something to throw their anger at. They are "mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore", but they don't use their anger in any productive manner. SJWs scream until someone says "Okay, shut up already!" and although this might bring a change, it is not by changing peoples minds through facts, but by bulling concessions out of them.

Sometimes they even hit the right target, but at this point they are so desperate to find popular things, which they can call misogynist, they have to complain about a comic that was made while the Soviet Union was still around. A comic that was made 27 years ago, when most of them weren't even born. Even if "The Killing Joke" was problematic at all, it would be like complaining that "Mein Kampf" is a book full of fascist ideas. SJWs don't look at circumstances and intentions, they just want to troll and have the illusion that they have the right to do so.

All through the 20th century and up until now, brave women and people from minorities stood up for equal rights and changed the world for the better ...and these guys want to pick up the torch.

This makes me sad.

Why does Dobson want anything that would give batman a personality or a character with a depth taken out or ignored? Does he just want batman to be a boring loser?

Most likely yes. Any kind of conflict that cannot be ended with block button chills the sugar water coursing through Dobsons veins and character with any kind of negative personal traits to overcome is evil in his infantile world view. Though main reason for him hating Batman is most likely the fact that all the prominent SJW figures he wishes to notice him are/were doing it.

He hates that "modern" batman has violence/drama in it. He prefers the old light, campy batman from the older cartoons that used ridiculous gadgets and stopped villains that were more like greedy pranksters than actual criminals. What he fails to realize is that the version of batman he hates so much originated in the comics made around the time those cartoons came out.

I don't know why he's so hung up on having to be social. I think most of the world would be ok with Dobby never speaking again.

It isn't, though. Portraying Alan Moore as some kind of retrograde misogynist is just fucking laughable.

Now, Frank Miller certainly does have his problematic features, which have become more prominent over the years, but there's still no denying his brilliance. I can at least understand hating his work from a political standpoint, but he's still a giant, even when not comparing him to a jealous pygmy like Dobson.

But you'd have to fail, utterly, even to understand Moore's work to color him in this light.

This is part of why Dobson is just simply a bad artist. He doesn't even understand what good art is.

He isn't even fit to arrange background characters designed by other people in crowd scenes in the lowest animation studio flunky job.

Pretty sure buttons like that are reason kids these days get bullied

I remember back when it was the bullies who put "Kick Me Please" Post-It Notes on tards. Now they put them on themselves.
