So, um, do any of Dobson's asspatting SJW friends read the Tweets they block first or do they just block everything that doesn't praise them or their artwork.

Also, late, but lol at that "paywall" argument. I'd love to see them try to start having an Internet presence by announcing that if people want to see their glorious work, they have to pay for it first.

That shit only works when people already expect quality to begin with. ... And usually they don't expect fanart.

Funny how you never see women complain that a male character is too handsome. It's almost like they see virtual women as competition.

Worse, competition that they'd lose or already have lost, because that kind of woman is generally of negative value and markedly worse than no woman at all. That almost sounds sluthate-ish, but then, they are the actual irl embodiment of the SH stereotype of women (sort of like SH incels are the irl embodiment of the tumblrina stereotype of men).

What is it exactly that makes the game so reviled?
I know SJWs (Besides Dobby) hate it but why?
Metroid isn't exactly popular in Japan and Other M was supposed to be a big push in appealing to Japanese audiences. To do this, they take a character who has been seen as a strong, capable, one-woman-army and make her into a waifu. Now not only was Samus attractive, but she was submissive and more timid. Part of this comes from cultural dissonance between the American military and the Japanese military (where you are supposed to follow your commanding officer without question. And I mean without question.), but then you have shit like making Samus a foot shorter than before (and this smaller than the male cast), and being unable to kill the final boss (which is done by a man). All this in the game that was supposed to define Samus's character (the director hade said he wanted to clear up misconceptions about it with Other M).

If your psyche is that fragile that someone disagreeing with you on the internet is enough to break your sanity, then you need to get the hell off of Twitter and see a psychologist.

Also, hello angry Dobbear! I just now noticed that your glasses are improperly laid out on top of your face. In fact, on the left side, your lens seems to overlay on top of your muzzle.
Yep. People should totally have to pay to see this professional quality artwork.

On the one hand, I can sort of sympathize with Dobhead. There are people on the interwebs with nothing better to do than insult people, and I'm not going to criticize someone for not wanting to deal with that shit. The problem is, Dobhead thinks that everyone who doesn't asspat him is one of those.

You know the old, if one person thinks you're an asshole, they might be wrong. If everyone thinks you're an asshole, they might be right.

I think it's a different type of woman who advocates this bullshit. They're either so insecure they can't handle a fictional woman with bigger breasts than them, too stupid to understand how fiction works, or simply in it to feel good about themselves by supporting a "cause."
This conversation is probably better suited to the SJW thread but what I'm trying to say is you can't reduce the objectification of women to their breast size. It's a question of agency. Does this character have any control over their situation? Are they simply a McGuffin for the hero to acquire? These are the questions women and feminists should be asking, but thinking is haaaaaaaard.

I can see why the American fans didn't like this. This is one case where you could argue that the physical change (making Samus shorter, making her more attractive) is a poor decision because it contradicts what was already established about her character, but it's still not as bad as making Samus unable to kill the final boss. This goes back to what I said about robbing women of agency.

I truly do not understand how Dobson can defend this game's story.

Última edición:
I found the Red Hood origin story very appealing, I know people prefer the ambiguity but the origin story doesn't clash. It's the established fiction.

Dobson will always have a problem though, if Harley Quinn was the Red Hood he would certainly have a bitch fit anyways. Dobson should stop oppressing the established canon.

Where did this hate boner for batman come from. I thought he used to like batman or at least had neutral feelings about him

He's like your average SomethingAwful poster, find something with immense mainstream value and hate it for petty reasons. Andrew is just trying to shoehorn his moral crusade into every ounce of classical comics.

I'll go and dig up that cliched Churchill quote for old Dobberino.

"Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things."

And judging by how many goddamn lines are on everyone's face, people are seriously unhealthy in Dobson comics, both metaphorically and literally.

At this point any critical quote is a necessary reminder of what kind of special Dobbo really is.

EDIT: Subjective argument, Dobson, par for the course. Nothing you say is objective enough to where you can refute everything as subjective. It's numbingly weak narcissism.
