What's Dobs definition of "my characters"? because if he means original characters (do not steal) made by him, he already screwed up. If he means characters drawn by him but taken from other series, why speak in plural if there's only going to be one with a huge empty background?.
I really prefered if he just made a mash up of his old OCs and put them all together in a lazy background rather than this. Heck, if he so wants to revive AZP why not make a wallpaper of that?, oh right, all that would had required effort and we know what Dobs thinks of that.

That wallpaper is one of the laziest motherfuckin' things I've seen in quite some time. I mean, c'mon, drawing a dramatic underwater scene of a character (I assume) you're a fan of attached to a giant, multi-limbed monster should be ridiculously fun to draw!
To me, if there is any piece shows that Dobson just doesn't enjoy making art anymore- this would be it.

Also, since we're on a Steven Universe theme, this is my reaction to seeing Dobson's old comics being discovered by Wu.
