Dobby knows what he wants sure enough: he wants asspats. But tough getting asspats in the SJW circle when you're a cishet white male.
Yeah, it's also hard to get asspats when every other SJW is making up mental health problems too.
Still clueless as ever. NOBODY wants your hideous Lesbian Kick comics Dobby.
I think he might be living in the past because of nostalgia, one of his first journal posts on DeviantArt is him talking about how Alex Ze Pirate was what initially got him a decent sized fanbase but that seems to have been around ten years ago and everyone else has moved on apart from Dobby.

If you pay for the his shitty art don't you own it? What sort of legal recourse does he think he has?

Very clever, Mr. Dobson.

Yeah what exactly could Patreon do in this situation? Isn't this the equivalent of reporting the Farms to the police because there's a page about you here? Won't Patreon just give you the ol', "Yeah sure kid whatever you say"? I think I'm going to investigate this a little bit.

What can I say, I enjoy giving away money to strangers on the internet. :heart-full: Especially sexy strangers. :tomgirl:

That being said, I submitted the following message to Patreon this evening:

Thar Be Walls Of Text Matey! dijo:
To whom it may concern,

This question is going to sound a little out there, and for that I apologize. Recent events concerning a Patreon creator who shall remain nameless for the moment, however, have compelled me to ask. I apologize if this was answered previously, and if I couldn't find that answer it's obviously my fault, but I feel that the Patron questions didn't quite cover this particular topic.

On to the matter at hand: lets assume for a moment a hypothetical scenario, in which I, Patron of the Arts, pledge money to Creator of Arts, who we shall dub Jack. Now, I pledge this money for two reasons: because I enjoy the arts and believe they have a place in our culture and society, and because I want some neat art from said individuals. A month passes, my credit card is charged, and I get said neat art and the satisfaction of knowing that I supported someone's dreams and my own ideals.

So after the fact, who exactly owns the art in question? If I paid Jack my $20 or whatever amount for a neat sketch of a polar bear riding a jetski into battle against dinosaurs, don't I own that piece of art too? And therefore aren't I in my rights to do whatever I please with this artwork? If I choose to put this art on my Facebook timeline and say, "Hey everybody! Check out these polar bears and dinosaurs!", is that not my right as the patron? Perhaps I hated the art in question and I'm a big stinky jerk, so in true big stinky jerk fashion I post on my Facebook, "Haw haw look at this dweeb named Jack who drew a stupid picture that I hate!" Obviously in this instance I'm exaggerating for comic effect, but the point stands: is the art that I receive from a content creator after my pledge is confirmed mine to do with as I please, whether it be to criticize or laud the efforts of Jack?

Truthfully I ask because a friend of mine is embroiled in a minor dispute with said content creator because he dislikes the creator personally, and as a result chose to give the creator a small sum so as to have access to the artwork in question, so as to criticize his work. I don't necessarily agree with his methods, because I don't make a habit of giving people I don't like money, but hey it's his dollar(s). The content creator says that he will. "report him to Patreon", for this vile act. I'm just curious as to whether or not the creators' arguments hold water, because it sure sounds like he's just trying to assuage his hurt feelings.

Thank you for your time, and once again I apologize for the rather silly nature of this message and my question in general.

Sincerely,
TheIceCreamMan (editors note: I actually put my real name here!!!!!!!!!!!!)

P.S.: It didn't give me the option to say, "curious", on the How ya feelin'? box, so I chose happy because I'm a happy person with a silly message.

Perhaps I didn't ask my question very well, but I'm really really curious as to the response, because depending upon the answer I may or may not file a frivolous lawsuit against that irascible villain known only as "MingofKanga" for sending me lewd sketches of dinosaurs riding jetskis against the Polar Bear Empire, whatever that is.

Wow, Dobson is a real clever sleuth!

All I see out of all of this is him raging that his shit customer service and regular sobbing is getting people to both fuck with him and free his shit art for the masses to mock.

Jesus, he's more incompetent than Amy's Baking Company when it comes to handling fan response.

I suspect other cool guys are going to do the $1 thing even more now, and then taunt him about it, just to watch him chimp.

so he's just going to false report accounts for unsubscribing to his patreon now? That's not a good way to get people interested in becoming his patrons at all!
