The guy who says he got PTSD from people saying his art sucked wants to complain about other people overreacting to his opinions.

Now that's comedy.

Well the strawman pointing that would would lead to
A) An actual joke
B) At Dobby's expense.

He's got neither the humour nor self-awareness to do such a thing.

EDIT:

You know, I can pick three out of these that actually look alright.
1) The... is that Brentalfloss?
2) The ... lady with the slight spiderish thing and the hood?
3) The star one (hell even that friggen bear looks less awful that normal)

And I can easily point out why they look much better. They're not actually in Dobson's "style". No mile-thick wrinkles, thinner or coloured lines, actually somewhat expressive faces outside of smugface and STRAWMAN SMASH, and a lot less dull looking to the point where I'm questioning if he did them at all and if so, whether someone else took over inks and colours.

Again, he COULD be a modest success but nope, strawmen and smugface all the way.

The thing is when Dobbie does actually draw something that looks alright for example the spider gwen pic "lady with the slight spiderish thing and the hood?" he goes and fucks it all up by dropping his fursona into the mix in some form of bad cosplay.
Its throws the whole piece out of kilter as the two styles just don't mix.

Dobson's back.. and he brought a shit comic with him!

He doesn't understand irony. It just passes through him.
Holy crap - Sometimes I think Tom must be a master troll...
He got his own reaction confused with that strawman!

yeah, it baffle me why so many sjw hate the killing joke now. Because Barbara gordon get shot and sexuell abused by the joker? The Joker is a bad guy! A bad guy!

Being fair, even Alan Moore had mixed feelings about the killing joke and other Batman writers have issues with the implication that Batman is as nuts as the Joker (a very YMMV opinion to a degree).

I don't think Dobbers actually cares much about Iwata's death.
Remember this?

I wouldn't be surprised if he sort of blames Iwata for ruining his precious 90's DiC headcanons.

Well if he tries so suck up, just remind him of that comic. Typical "love them when they're dead" phony, really. Probably doesn't even care about all the awesome shit Iwata did for the company.

That comic really highlights why Dobson is such a stupid imbecile.
As you put it so fittingly, his entire headcanon is build on horrible DiC cartoons - and no matter how often people point out the obvious nonsense in his arguments, he will stick to this opinion religiously.
Link was supposed to be blond from the very first game onwards? Nah, in the cartoon he's brown haired (am I the only one to think Dobson's fixation on blonde/brown hair has something to do with him obsessively identifying with Link or some shit?). So there... Also is Dobson trying to mock blonde Link as being 'gay' since he's "effeminine" - whatever the hell that is - if so: yeah, very progressive.
Mario always was italian, but afaik, the guy in the life-action segments of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show was from Jersey and had a thick New York accent or something.
But claiming this was due to the internet or anime fangirls really takes the cake. Oh boy.
He cherrypicks stuff to rant from his soapbox and he completely botches it, simply cause it's that fucking transparent he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about (or is incredibly biased in what parts of information he even uses to make his argument).

Part of me wishes Dobson does some really tasteless "Never liked the guy anyway, good riddance" comment, just so his Twitter blows up around him.

Iwata was willing to put his own salary on the line rather than firing employees. I can't even express how much I admire him for that.

Calling it now, dobson releases a rip iwata comic under a paywall

If there was a more effective way of ruining a tribute piece, I can think of no other one than this. Let's see if Dobson is that scummy.

There are people besides MovieBob that are sad that Mario was not from Brooklyn?

Fucking seriously?

Dobson and facts really aren't on first name terms.
Dobson cant engage in a discussion or even polite conversation on the same level as most people because hes not open to being wrong about anything.
In the most simple terms possible Dobson is one of those kids on the playground who thinks the team he supports/the console he owns/the stuff he likes is best because thats what he thinks and fuck anyone else for saying otherwise.......but secretly he wants to come round to play because hes lonely and you seem cool and have nice stuff.

It's because having a female character abused/tortured as a way to motivate a male protagonist is at best lazy writing and is at worst kinda sexist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_Refrigerators etc etc

This was quite extensively ameliorated by having a very lengthy examination of what being crippled meant for Barbara, but if you view Killing Joke in isolation it's kinda iffy.

A bit off topic, but couldn't you argue by that logic that every motivator where someone gets hurt or dies is lazy writing and insensitive to some minority, sub culture or social class? Uncle Ben and Bruce Wayne's parent were clearly murdered to motivate the protagonists, does this make Spider-Man and Batman lazily written pieces of ageist propaganda? In Dragon Ball, Goku's midget friend Krillin is butally murdered twice as a plot device, does that make the manga ableist? Magneto was clearly motivated by his experiences at Auschwitch to turn against mankind, was this s cheap, racist way to turn him into a villain? Is Captain America inherently jingoistic? What about Jason Todd's death?

My point is, you can't have a piece of fiction, however good it might be, that doesn't at least occasionally have elements that could be considered cliché or textbook. Moliére's Tartuffe, something I've brought up in this thread before, has a blatant deus ex machina at the end, yet on the whole it's still a terrific comedy. That's the same way I feel about The Killing Joke.

El Dobbo updated his Patreon today.

Just a small update today. Got other stuff coming but it's slow goings. So enjoy this little meme thingy in the downtime!

Like I actually wanted to see that horrible looking fanart again.
You almost did it, Dobs. You almost managed to leave your obnoxious fursona out of this little Collage of Crap of yours, which would've made it a lot less sucky. A for effort, buddy, A for effort.

The feminist argument is that whilst males are kidnapped/abused/murdered they generally go through a process the industry calls "dead men defrosting".
Krillin was murdered....but got better
Bucky got blown up.....but got better
Jason Todd was beaten to a pulp and then blown up...but got better.
X-men tend to have a free pass with death

Generally any time a male character is killed off, crippled and left with severe emotional scars they return better than ever at some point.....often with a cool new edgy anti hero persona.

Wheres as most women who get killed/crippled /left with emotional scars just get left that way or written out or turned into some kind of crazy ass villain defined by there own tragedy.

Not saying I agree with this but that's the case they put forward.

I really hate how he draws eyes. All small and far apart like that. I mean he drew them as giant white voids of nothingness with tiny pupils before but at least that was slightly more visually appealing.

Thanks for the info.

While this "dead man defrosting" phenomenon does make sense, I think it has enough counter examples that on could safely say it's not an issue anymore. Barbara Gordon becoming Oracle and the Batgirl again, Wasp dying and being revived dueing Secret Wars, Spider-Gwen, Elektra gets resurrected, Captain Mar-vell still being dead, the works. I'd also put the DB cast into the same category as the X-Men, because, well, dragon balls.

Good God that Skyrim fanart. I don't get how he can make such half assed attempts at everything else and yet the hair for that old woman gets to be kinda detailed (as if he actually used a reference).

Totes agree
But the SJWs like to live in the past and pretend nothing changed.
