Not unlike Dobson, Humon has gotten worse.

Meh, I haven't really paid attention to Humon in recent years, even tho I still watch her. As far as I can remember, her stuff's really boring, plus the sameface art is very reminiscent of Whitedog2.

But good to see that Dobbass has actually stayed off the internet (or at least stayed quiet) for awhile.
 
Maybe he checked himself in voluntarily to a psychiatric ward.
Nah, he's just been playing Splatoon.

I don't understand why he settles for $100 a month either, he could make so much more if he just did his commissions. I mean, he could make a lot more theortically if he had far more adults in his fanbase.

Has he ever mentioned how many hours it takes him to crank out a single character picture? I mean his stuff is really simple but I imagine him also being one of the slower drawing types so maybe it takes him 4 hours for a simple single character picture. If he priced things at a decent rate that even his teenage audience could afford to buy, and got a couple of commission drawings done per day, he could do far far better than $100 a month. And the more he got into the grove of things, the faster he could get at drawing, so he could fit even more commissions in per day, or just keep it at a couple and fill up the free time with drawing for himself.

Then again this is the same guy who took like 8 months (or whatever it was) to get that Samus commission out so...yea that plan wouldn't work because it requires a sliver amount of work ethic, and would also require him possibly not drawing a squid kid lesbian.

Dobbie addressed this on DA way back.
In dobbies mind he could fire out sketches on demand and make a whole pile of cash but thats not what he wants.
He wants commissions that inspire him and that he can pour his love into, he wants credibility rather than profitability.

The reality is dobbie is a lazy fuck who does bare minimum but thinks his work is high quality worth top dollar.

Well then he can just do cheaper sketch commissions, and do discounts for themes that he likes or inspires him.

Like "hey if your commission involves splatoon I'll take a few bucks off because I'm really into splatoon right now".

That would be a pretty sweet work ethic.
Shame Dobby don't have one.
He wants the asspats and the cash but real work eats into time he could be jacking off to inflation porn or playing kiddie friendly shooters.

As to work that inspires him, I really dont see a big demand for his lesbian kick/ forgotten TV show mashups / badly drawn marvel characters stuff.

Well I'm sure there's a decent demand for lesbian cartoon character art, especially lately with everyone cumming in unison over Korra/Asami, Ruby/Sapphire and formerly, Princess Bubblegum/Marceline but I think Adventure Time has kinda fallen back out of favors with people lately? Not sure, I don't pay attention to any of those cartoon franchies (Legend of Korra seems okay but probably not my kinda thing, Steven Universe's art style fucking bothers me and Adventure time just bores me).

So yea, people wanna see cartoon lesbians, less so lesbian kick. Though I'm sure there's a niche for lesbians actually kicking each other, I mean there's a few folk out there really into girl vs girl nude boxing and them punching each other in the tits, so why not nude lesbian kickboxing?

Ah yes, he wants to do inspired and brilliant works of art like puns that don't even work because he doesn't understand words and cosplays as done by the world's most insufferable character design.

I think Dobson would only take on lesbian commission if it was an official Dobson approved couple, hes pretty weird about creating fap material that doesnt fit his head canon.

Its not really getting around the fact that people with more talent take commissions for less and actually deliver on time or the fact you can find whatever gets u off for free on the internet for free.

Hell if Dobbie delivered EXACTLY what you want and the quality was as expected and delivered on time he would just fuck it up by adding his Fursona in there because of his ego.

You know what, I actually wouldn't doubt that would happen, because I've seen it happen before with other artists and clients.
I remember some artist just sticking his self insert into a commission he was paid to do, and when the client said "wait that's not what I asked for?", he got told tough shit.

I can just imagine it:
"Oh um this is nice but why is there a constipated carebear in the rough sketch? I didn't ask for th-"
"HELP HELP I'M BEING OPPRESSED"

And as much as we would like it. I can't say I see that happening.
