As a newcomer to this site I'm pleasantly surprised to see that, despite it all, most of the people here can feel empathy for the very target of their disdain. But after this latest Dobson stunt, I would not hold it against you if said empathy has fizzled into utter nothingness.

To be honest, the best thing that Dobson can do now is to quit all social media, renounce ever pursuing anything art related, get therapy, go to a trade school to learn a new (non creative, not costumer service) skill set, get an honest job and live the rest of his days as an anonymous and unremarkable citizen and perhaps, just perhaps finally he'll be happy.

Proviso: My goodwill towards him will by default be revoked the moment he starts tweeting self centered bullshit again.

A couple of flaws with that statement (not that this is a good idea that Dobson should follow. But given his logic and everything...):

1. If he quit social media, how's he going to get all the asspats he needs? I doubt a therapist would give them to him, and he'd probably stop going there once he realizes this.
2. If he isn't a good artist, I doubt he'd make a good cook or carpenter either.
3. Since when did anyone here show sympathy to a guy who does nothing by bitch on the internet over things that are easily preventable or fixable, yet doesn't bother to do so because he's a fat lazy slob who'd rather play vidya and jack off to inflation pics or Korra/Asami shipping? Last I checked, we had barely any to begin with, and this is just snapping any sliver of sympathy he could have had before.
 
How Dobson will probably react:
-claim his account was hacked
-claim it's everyone else's fault because they don't acknowledge his brilliance
-never speak of it again and block anyone who brings it up
-Accept responsibility and admit he was in the wrong
 
He could be a fry cook. I bet he'd even get a discount on chicken nuggets!
But he'd have to not eat the nuggets meant for customers.
Quite the quandary.
 
You know, back in the old days, when a cow pretended to commit suicide, they'd stick with the act. There'd be concerned friends posting from their account, stutter typing from the hospital, requests for art and lip gloss. They'd put effort into it. Kids these days, they just post a vague threat and get their friends to rush to their side. There's no art to it.
 
I like how just by looking at the icons of his backseat supporters you can tell they're all 13 year old furries who have yet to have the cynicism of attention whores on the internet beat the faux goodwill out of them.
 
Jesus. People have been put under nonconsensual observation for posting way less dramatic shit than those tweets he made. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's phoneposting from the emergency room (some of them will let psych patients hang onto their phones) and just wants to avoid the embarassment.
 
If the police did check on Dobson, and he ended up not getting sent to the hospital, the likely chain of communication went from police to EMS to the EMS medical director (a physician on call). This means a paramedic would have had to call a doctor and relay Dobson's explanation of events to him. I can imagine the doc going either way at this point:

A) "Ok, this guy is clearly WAY too invested in his internet life, I'm authorizing you to force transport to the hospital."

B) "What? Internet trolls? Twitter? Jesus, FINE, just let him refuse, this whole thing sounds like nonsense."

Nah. Dobson is too much of a pussy he even had a hard time to flip the bird at bitchy coworkers, he's too much of a coward to think on inflicting pain on himself. And even if he did, I'm pretty sure he'll make like 40 posts on how much he's thinking about suicide and how much it'll mean for him if people support him with money.

I don't think he ever really considered it.

The tweets he posted may read like your 'run of the mill' suicide note, but at no point he explicitly states that he was/is going to kill himself.

I think he is just looking for validation, that he is "important" or something.
