I'm sure there will be more American 2D films in the future simply because some directors prefer it. CGI hasn't stopped stop-motion films from being made so why would it stop hand drawn ones?

CuriousBystander nailed it really, why pledge to a Patreon to get 2-3 disjointed visual puns based on old dead franchises (Jimmy Neutron FFS……) least he could do is continue SYAC or even better New SYAC w/ added Tumblr.

I'd look forward to it either way. You know that short story about a utopia that only exists because of the suffering of a small child? To me Dobson is that small child, except he isn't really suffering - he only thinks he is. And all is right with the world.

Buckley sucks but at least he actively tries to be successful.
Dobson just seems to have given up yet refuses to accept it. His art is not attractive in any way whereas Buckley's is just very lazy. His themes are shameless SJW self-pandering and the kind of crossovers 12 year olds come up with, while Buckley is just an unfunny tryhard. Buckley's work, for all its faults, is genuinely funny to mock, and manages to be enjoyable in at least some way. Dobson's work is the work of a man who broke himself and wants to blame the world. It's absolutely filled with spite and loathing in every single pixel. It's the work of someone who has undeniably failed at life, but has reached such a state of delusion that he wants to convince himself and everyone else that he hasn't instead of moving on.

If I was in his art college and I was gonna take the piss out of him, I'd have done it by doing a caricature of Dobbo dressed as Ronald McDonald, desperately shoveling chicken mcnuggets down his throat and spraying BBQ sauce with it while tears of butter pour down his face as people in the backdrop are critiquing his art's anatomy and the tacked on anime features.
Far more fun and less physical and weenish IMO.

Does Dobson still have his McDonald's diet even doing his day job? I think we've settled on that his day job is something often seen as demeaning or more likely that anything other than other people taking Dobson's vaguebideas and making a cartoon series/comic out of them but getting all the credit is beneath him.
