JoJo's Bizarre Adventures is one of the most popular and long running comic/manga and now anime series aimed at a young male audience and has characters of all races and both male and female heroes and villains. (It's been going since 1986)

I bet Dobby would be too scared to do things like make a female character a proper villain (One that wasn't just there for comedy purposes or to later join with the good guys), have a black character called Mohammad or give a villain mental health problems.

Dobbie seems similar to CWC in that hes unable to see women as anything other than paragons of human virtues. They are all generically kind, kooky and loving and ofcourse all Dobbies creations have to be lesbians because having them violated by a brute males would be a crime against their sex.

If you're asking/stressing if a character is "queer" enough, chances are you're writing a bloody stereotype.

You gonna write a gay/lesbian/bi/trans/whatever character? Coolio but worry bout, y'know, the personality points first? If anything the only one of those that should be even remotely difficult to write is transgender characters since dysphoria is often a rather abstract concept to most of the population that they often don't understand.

So maybe if it was "stressing about accuracy with a transgender character" perhaps but "queer enough"? Yeah that isn't stereotypical or anything.

Honestly, you know what I'd like to see more of? Same-sex couples that are actually just played normally. Not the overly romanticized sort (it's common enough with straight romances!), hell perhaps one or both of them are, say, very awkward at mushy talk or have little to no sex drive or even not particularly huggy or kissy but they just love each other nontheless? But that'd require originality and restraint around lesbians and Dobbo just doesn't do either.

There has been a black guy since one of the old animes from before most if not all Kiwis were born. That character in question is Pyunma, Cyborg 008 from an anime known as Cyborg 009.

If Dobson thinks there were never any black people in anime until this day, he is dead wrong since this character has been around since at least 1966 if not earlier.

Oh, in regards to the strawmanning above, maybe someone can do a Dobson version? Like
