I would love to see him attempt to use Paint Tool Sai, considering it doesn't have all the added crutches, I mean tools, photoshop has.

... This I'd like to see. I mean it's a crapload more tablet friendly and only about $50 for a permanent license.

Actually, just about any program made explicitly for artists would give him a hard time even though for the non-lazy, they're easier. When I had GIMP it was often about 3 painstaking hours trying to get those path tools right. Then I got a tablet and sai and can probably do those same inkings better in about 30-40 minutes.

Yet for Dobson, it'd be a downgrade. Muh filters!

Yep. Apparently, a Photoshop subscription and a Mac make you a full-fledged artist. All those hacks using Sai, Gimp, or Mangastudio on their PCs are just slumming it. Despite creating amazing pieces of art using "subpar" software.

In all seriousness though, a good chunk of artists seem to use Sai for painting and drawing, and then use Photoshop to add certain effects.

EDIT: For the record I've placed my desktop, a bog standard 1080p, against his wallpaper to show how insane this is. This won't fit on a 16:9 resolution (which the vast majority of monitors conform to) without massive cropping or squashing.

I had to look at it for several minutes to realize the sky contained both clouds and deep space features.

That's the worst part. Because those two kinds of features just can't coexist. Only the most prominent luminous objects show up in a cloudy or even misty sky.

Oh I must've missed that one. The ones I've seen were his character wearing elven armor with those godawful faces.

I just can't really imagine how you can't kill in Skyrim, or at least be forced to kill in order to survive. Sure you can run away, but what about boss fights?

Weelll... uhh... you know, at least he tried. It doesn't look as bad as his usual fare, if I had to guess this is owed to the fact that we can't see their presumably hideous faces. But yeah, wtf are they resting on? How are they resting on it? ??
(The more I look at this the more I realize it's pretty bad too in its own way, I have an awful habit of skimming over artworks and not noticing all the ugly details...)

So I figured out why it looks like a giant stack of hay bales. See how the shadow falls directly along the copy/pasted tile of the "roof?" It reinforces the appearance of there being a line there and so it makes it look like the other facing of a cube. Unsurprisingly, taking lazy shortcuts has compromised his already-poor work. Who knew?
