This is a SYAC illustration I made back in 2013 when I was going through some really bad anxiety issues. As some of you might know, around mid 2013 I took a 6 month hiatus from making comics because my health was deteriorating.

There was a brief period where I was actually a little scared of drawing, knowing that no matter what I posted I would get harassed for it. This illustration was an attempt to work through some of my fears and get back into the swing of drawing again.

I actually really liked how this illustration came out, but I never posted it online before because I was scared of how people (haters) would react to it.

But since I'm no longer on DA, and my health is FAR better than it was in 2013, I felt like sharing this with all of you!

I'm amused that Dobson always portrays himself as a slim, non-lardass person. (When not in bear mode.)
I think this definely indicates a good portion of his delusion and dishonesty about himself.

I might be super late here but can anyone actually explain the dual name Tom Preston/Andrew Dobson thing to me? Checked ED/etc and couldn't find any explanation for it.

No. No they are not. The only specific customer taste they are allowed to cater to is the desexualizing SJW taste, not their current paying consumer base.

Anyone ever notice how all they complain about is the costume, rarely the stories themselves? Wasn't his comic supposed to be about teaching people how to be a cartoonist? It's literally just the comic version of his hugbox now, why bother naming it "so you want to be a cartoonist?" It's like making a comic about batman but naming it superman,
also. The Teen titans version of the DC characters are supposed to be child friendly, so of course ravin's design will be less seductive

I find it absolutely in no way surprising that Dobs sees a new outfit and then disregards the character as a whole due to said outfit. It's almost like the one judging female characters solely on what they wear, and thus being sexist, is Dobs.

Also he never stops to think before criticizing other's art but when people do the same to him it's all "muh PTSD"

Andrew Dobson is his real name.
Tom Preston is his DeviantArt name, I forget where Tom comes from, but Preston is the last name of a very minor character in Star Trek II (a cadet that dies, he's supposed to be Scotty's nephew, but it's not established in the theatrical version).
Basically CattyN/Tom Preston was how he existed before his identity was revealed and since Tom Preston was the name he gathered DA followers with, it hangs around so they can find him.
