It's amazing how he just let people assume he was raped without correcting them.
Also, since when does cross dressing=transexual? I thought they didn't want to be lumped together with drag queens. I guess they only want to be associated with the attractive ones? Link isn't going to go "I'm a girl now" we all know that. He is just wearing a dress. These SJWs are really grasping at straws
 
That spray bottle thing was probably the best thing that ever happened to Dobson at a con. It was a shitty immature joke, but Dobson can trot it out for pity points and asspats.

He probably fantasizes about being this brave hero for enduring such hate, and getting recognition for standing up to those mean trolls. I mean, how many SYAC comics has he made now where his opposition is beaten up or humiliated by him?

To be fair, he's mostly following imbeciles on Twitter and Facebook that use the internet as their personal soapbox to scream profanities over things they disapprove of for stupid reasons, so he's only copying what they do.
If only he was female or an ever-so-convincing trans-womyn as brick-jaw Brianna Wu, and he might even get some pity-donations on patreon.

I know I'm late on this one. I've been meaning to do this strip for a LONG time now. But yeah... I can't STAND Raven's new costume.



90% of how you empathize with a character is through their face and (most especially) their eyes. When you deliberately cover up the eyes like that, to the point that there aren't even any eye holes, while also opening up the body to be practically naked... yeah that's objectification. You are encouraged to observe the body, but not any sort of facial features that would help you empathize with them as a person.



It's also a great disconnect on readership, as this design is clearly meant for a male reader... but the vast majority of female readers know of and love the design of the animated TV show. It's like it's intentionally creating a barrier so that women can't get into the comic, and to keep it focused entirely on the male gaze for their presumed male readership. Despite, of course, statistics showing that more women are reading comics now than ever before.



The design of her "hood" could've worked if they also didn't open up the body like that. I'm not opposed to the idea of covering up the eyes. On it's own that's an interesting design choice. But coupled with the half naked body underneath? Ugh...



Anyway, that's just my opinion. I'm not a fan of her New 52 design.

Or it could be they're hiding their eyes for the same reason some cops wear mirrorshades. It's to hide them from the enemy.

But no, it's definitely all evil sexism. Plus she isn't a lesbian doing lesbian stuff, so Dobby can't jerk his pud to it.

Isn't the en vogue thing in Dobson's circle to question the dictionary? Weird that he'd do this. And all she needs is for them to say she's a lesbian. This comic is basically a non sequitur by the way.

I'm pretty amazed that Dobby and other people like him haven't gotten that all Marvel and DC do these days is try to be controversial in one way or another. It's what happens when you're completely irrelevant as a medium to anyone but the most extreme.
 
Just to nitpick, I'm fairly certain you can't use a dictionary to look up "objectification of woman". Since, you know, a dictionary is for single words...

I doubt the re-design is just for male readers to jerk off over. It looks pretty cool. But of course anything slightly related to showing cleavage and leg must be sexist in Dobson's mind. Would he prefer all female characters to be dressed like Puritans?

Hiding the facial features might be a choice to make her look more mysterious and menacing. Ah, wait, no. This is SJW-Fantasialand, so it's meant to somehow oppress women cause Patriarchy or something. I'll admit that costume is really revealing - almost makes you forget that the Teen Titans Design (the one Dobson advocates here) has Raven showing off her bare legs despite being a minor. Oops.

Funny, ain't it? Someone releases shlocky fem-Thor comics and we're supposed to herald it as "inclusive" and whatnot, but when they change Raven's outfit, it's the devil incarnate.
So I take it being alienated by lame and insulting rule63 doujin-tier alterations to a character is not as valid as having a character wear a different costume?
But the parts I underlined really get me: Are DC and Marvel not allowed to cater to specific customer tastes? Especially when the argument is such a silly one that doesn't even mean a thing.
If in the past 100 years only one female comic reader existed and suddenly there's 2, that would mean there's a 100% increase... but 2 people still don't make a profitable market.
That is to say: yeah, maybe there's more female readers now than ever, but a) that doesn't automatically mean there's a lot and b) that doesn't mean DC/Marvel has to cater to these demographics if they don't want to.
But then again, this is Dobs. He will never fathom the idea that there's people that do not have to cater to his individual demands.

Dobson is just trying to use an SJW-worthy excuse to make his original point: The new design isn't the "Help, I am stuck in the 90s" Teen Titans cartoon design.
In that regard he's a lot like Chris.
Blarms are bad cause Chris doesn't like them they cause sensory overloads.
Raven's new design is bad cause it's not the old design Dobson is fond of sexist.
It just seems like Dobson is trying defend his own tastes by fleeing to higher ground.

Man, everytime I look at that drawing I feel sad. It's like being in the presence of a crippled dog, It wants to move around but it cant. I actually feel for him.

An there I though people empasize with characters through their behaviour or the situations they are in. But Dibdob, what about characters without eyes? Friggin' ableist shitlord...
 
I was trying to figure out why he made a comic about raven at this time, because that design was around at least 2 years ago...
