I wasn't the only critical commentator on his previous journal, but it sounds like I came particularly close to hitting a chord with him. Speaking of which, notice he's still letting us "haters" ruin his day despite his whole legion of white knights. That to me is the sign of a guy who knows, deep down, that he has a problem.
Dobson's whole attitude almost reminds me of my own five years ago, and yet he has to be, what, ten years my senior?
Maybe the haters prevent him from sliding into his asspat-paradise where he can pretend he's flawless?
Like, people making fun of his art are a thorn in his side that just drag him back into reality, that's why the soft cushion of enablers and asspatters doesn't work.

I don't think this means "I want to spend eight hours a day making art." I think this means "I want to make enough money on Patreon that it could be considered a Job. I make art at my own rate."

You know what I've never gotten? Why his love of Skyrim doesn't just transfer into a love of Nordic stuff?
Make a book of Nordic inspired rhymes. Put it for sale on his website (Nordic so no copyright. I honestly wonder if this, and not my ramblings, is why he doesn't make it of his own accord. He knows it would be copyright infringement to sell it for money so he makes it for "Free") say if he gets $300 monthly he'll make it free.
It's even more weird when you realise it's something he

Also it kinda distracts from the sheer nonsense his other milestones are.
So why does it cost 150 bucks a month to make a new website? Minecraft-server for Patrons, really?
The fact he thinks releasing weekly comics at fucking all should be valued at 300 bucks when there's so many artists releasing 3 comics a week for free just baffles me.
But his last 2 milestones really take the cake. So, people pay him 700 bucks and he starts to support other Patreons? That's the most retarded shit I've ever seen as a milestone. Why should anyone care? What do people gain from this? It's completely retarded.
And then there's this 2000 dollar milestone... oh boy. So apparently, it costs 1300 dollars a month to be able to afford a new computer...? Then again, he's an Applefag, so it kinda checks out.
Before this tweet, I didn't think Dobson could be as annoying about reading a book as he is about playing a children's video game.
