I heard that the best way to facilitate widespread gay acceptance all over the country is to insult heterosexuals and generalize them for absolutely no reason. I guess Dobson heard the same as me!
Also, who the hell does he think he is? Not-straight? There is nothing more repulsive than his constant cries of "ME BAD BACHOMP BACHOOEYCHOOEYCHOMP" disguised as social justice.

In light of the recent flood of terrible Patreon "art" I feel this needs to be brought up again. How Dobson treats paying customers.

I know it's a bit late for me to be quoting this, but... Four months? FOUR GUVKING MONTHS?
All right, this has been coming for a while now. I've been following this thread for what seems like several months, and I haven't posted anything, simply 'cause I couldn't think of much to add. But FWIW...

Dobson's a whiny, arrogant, self-entitled little bitch. He's a...what would you call the SJW version of "a wolf in sheep's clothing"? He's got no real sense of humour. (A shocking criticism to make of a man attempting to make a name for himself as a humorous cartoonist - but it's unfortunately true.) And worst of all (to this Kiwi, anyway) - he's terminally lazy. He's got no work ethic whatsoever. He's clearly in contempt of his audience and considers his job (making art - his own chosen career) a hideous imposition, something that eats up time that could be spent more productively. Playing Splatoon. (Oh, how I wish we had a sneer emoticon!) Now, it seems clear to me that much of this is connected. So much so, it seems somewhat axiomatic to point it out - but here goes...

Dobson started out as an inflation artist. Somewhere along the line, he decided this was something he could no longer pursue. Don't ask me why - maybe 'cause inflation fetishists frown on "murder-by-explosion"? (Something Dobson liked to draw - seriously, I still get occasional flashbacks to that "supposed-to-be-cute-Sailor-Moon-girls-inflate-and explode" comic of his. My eyes glaze over as it all comes back to me, and I hear myself muttering "there's only one thing we can do - pop". At which moment I suddenly come to and find myself standing in the kitchen, halfway through washing up, everything just as it was before, except I'm now shaking and drenched in sweat... Ahem.)

At any rate...Dobson decided to switch to "Lesbian Kick" pirates and SJW bullshit. Why? Presumably he thought it would increase his audience. But in doing so, he essentially sold his soul. A Faustian pact, as he didn't even succeed in attracting the new SJW audience he was trying for. And the end result? A ghost of an artist, working at a snail's pace and creating work he obviously has no real interest in, judging by the quality and obvious lack of effort on his part.

Why doesn't he just drop the facade and admit what he really is? Go back to drawing things he wants to draw? As pointed out above, when he's doodling, he actually seems to be having fun - and even succeeds in creating things worth a glance!
I so wish he would. An artist without passion (killed by his own hand, no less!) is a horrible thing to witness. Why, I think I could even handle new inflation art, if I only knew it gave Dobson pleasure to create it.

I don't know how actively you followed Dobson during his CattyN days, but he was hardly happy. The way he communicated with fans and patrons was just as bad if not worse than now (I'm sure its posted somewhere in this thread, but he had a massive journal entry about the RUDENESS of a customer getting artwork from another artist after Dobby told him he was too busy or something). He would always rant and rave how awful his fans were, even after he stopped drawing inflation stuff. I think that while he enjoyed the fetish, his contempt for others and massive ego would keep him from ever being a successful smut artist.

All these years, hasn't anyone just told the poor guy that the whole "Fuck you, you're wrong" attitude doesn't get you anywhere?

It kinda bugs me is all, when so many social media users like himself -- who use vessels like DeviantArt and Twitter to advertise themselves and their products -- and operate almost exclusively through these forums and sites, that are intended to not only feature their work and gather an audience, but to interact with a budding following and receive feedback and support... come off as aggressive, condescending and unfriendly. The worst part is, they're not going to admit it or break down and have someone just do the PR part for them.

Okay, so I went on that Miiverse thing a few days back, and I saw a few of "his" miiverse doodles in the popular posts section. Thing of it is, most of them are made by various accounts that seem unrelated to him. so either he's outright lying about some/all of them being his, or he literally has infinite miiverse accounts. (I should probably double check this later today to see if I saw right)

Look at him talk about his past work history, college days, time in high school. Even his time with his past live in girlfriend show he has always been a miserable person.

I
@The Lawgiver Would it be possible for him to have a large number of accounts? or would it be highly impractical?
t would be, but considering I've seen some users with like 10 or more alts on there, it's probably possible, if not very improbable.

Ohhhhh, I don't for one moment imagine His Dobness.... Ew. Allow me to start again.

I don't ever imagine Dobson being content - he's the type to always find something to complain about. Nor do I ever imagine him being commercially successful in any real sense. I just think that if he went back to the inflation shit, or specialised in Splatoon fan art, or whatever the hell it is he'd create if he wasn't dwelling in his self-imposed prison, he'd be considerably happier. And that's gotta be worth something, right?

Right?

...is this 'I NEED STRAIGHT PRIDE' thing legit or trolling that he didn't realize was trolling?
