I feel confident that a large portion of his donations right now are sockpuppets.
Even with his DA following, I don't think there are 29 people willing to give him money for quality and quantity of work he's been producing.

He's also been tweeting and retweeting the gamessowhite hashtag. It's funny because literally every game he's been sperging about has been white males. Except for Splatoon which has a minor white-passing squidboy but Dobby is too busy fapping over the minor white-passing squidgirl.

What I find interesting is that he has not created a new journal for a month. And compared to the classic Dobson, that is sloppy...

I'm guessing Dobson hasn't played the king of the hill mode. Where the whole point is to take and hold one spot.
Considering that you need to get up to Level 10 to start playing Splat Zones, if basic rules of a combat game elude him including that, you know, you have to win by engaging in some flipping combat, he won't see it for a while yet.

But that doesn't agree with Dobson's position of pacifism that so easily allows him to soapbox!

I think if even Gandhi says you're entitled to defend yourself if you feel you must, I think it's time to learn how to aim with the GamePad.

I'm sure that theory would hold water if you forget the fact that the Octarians' Plan A for all that stolen electricity was to use it to power big warbots that their leader in his big, stupid boss robot thing was going to use to just roll right over Inkopolis, laughing and taunting you the whole way.

So, no, I'd say there was a really clear villain.

This is a game for children, right? Christ, it's like the people who try to base all their politics off of children's cartoons. And then they wonder why "being an adult is hard" or something. Read a newspaper. Go to an actual news site. Read a book. Goddamn.

Cause the game can't just be a fun little experience to play with friends or enjoy on your own, oh no. It has to be pretentious 3deep5me nonsense to brag about how it's smart and has such a strong message, when in fact, there is nothing to that fact.
If "both sides think they are the good guys" equals "deep and meaningful message about war" in someone's mind, I'd say they never moved past watching carebears and teletubbies. Jesus.

Edit: Also what's with that ridiculous Jaden-Smith-style capitalization?

Pretty sure the people fighting for the axis powers weren't mustache-twirling villains, and we've seen hundreds of WW2 games that bring up that topic. Also pretty sure we've had decades of games where both the protagonists and antagonists thought they were in the right.

What a worthless read. So glad this clown got the boot from gamespot.

It must be due to the fact that all these story bits are earned through getting "Sunken Scrolls," things that are hidden out outta-the-way locations in each single-player level (except, for one exception, the boss fights, since those are weapon unlocks), and are basically all neat little rewards for the player's dedication. It could very well be that this sort of knowledge from these unlockables, which amount to really cool game art that helps build the world of Splatoon, brings about the worst in people who have a predisposition to, uh, an overestimation of their own abilities rather than satisfaction that they're better than most at the single-player game component.

From there it's probably a short hop to thinking that instead of neat rewards for the players' diligence, someone could think they're privy to some kind of forbidden knowledge or something and that this thing they spent time on is the big one with all the truth in it, and not just, well, a neat reward for being good at the game.
