His style is some really painfully generic mix of western cartoon aestethics and his old baggage of half-assed anime-influenced designs... The most unique aspect of his work in the past has been the floating eyebrows of doom - which he thankfully abondoned, cause they were fucking dumb.
Just for reference:
In Japan, oftentimes well-known Mangaka make tributes to the works of other Mangaka, for instance to celebrate a certain milestone (anniversaries or big publications) or just for the hell of it.
For instance, here, we've got Abe Yoshitoshi's (You might know his work "Niea_7" or "Secret Experiments Lain") take on Asuka Langley from Evangelion.

Or a different artist, this time it's Samura Hiroaki (who's mainly known for "Blade of the Immortal"), drawing Suzumiya Haruhi:

Both characters are incredibly iconic in the manga and anime scene, however the artists managed to both grasp the essence of the characters but also managed to make really good renditions of them in their own unique styles. In both cases, you could easily identify the artist who made them by the way how the coloring is handled and you can tell what character it is supposed to be. Despite the styles clashing with the iconic designs, the personal style of the respective artist manages to carry the overall image. Dobson is very far away from doing that - ever.

And the reasons for that are simple:
On one hand, when Dobson tries to render stuff in its own style (like drawing Stitch or *shudder* Ironman), it will always look off-model, since Dobson isn't good at emulating the styles of others. His usual shortcomings as an artist (like his inability to draw hands or issues with perspective/lighting) really poke through here as well. We *know* what the characters are supposed to look like, so even small mistakes can make them look 'weird'. Also, the fact he puts two different styles into one image means they will not only look like poor cargo-cult renditions (compared to the originals) but also mismatch a lot with each other, which will also emphasize the shortcomings of the emulated styles.

This leads us to a different issue:
Dobson's painfully generic, bland, boring style. He could never make an image like the two above, since his personal way of drawing is just so incredibly dull and unremarkable. There is nothing identifiable or unique about it (aside from floating eyebrows and terribad hands).

He's unable to draw in someone else's style and he doesn't have a style of his own. And he's hammering in that fact with every image of his current crossover-project.
 
That's a very incorrect assumption to make: that most people who view his art 'look up to' him. Really we just want to see him maybe try not sucking so hard.
 
Dobson is getting a bit predictable. Oh, he's happy about lesbians? Oh, he's whining about people pointing out errors in his fan art? Did he just give up on Wu senpai?

What career? Dobson has none. Artists with half the talent of him regularly get employed in professional work. He just has a shitty attitude and most importantly, is slow as hell when he actually does draw.

Beyond that, cross-overs are the last resort of the creatively inert. He caters more than a Chipotle. If it weren't for the sheer magnitude of the volume he produces, he would have been forgotten long ago.

Tweets like these make me realize just how desperately we need a "Fuck you, Dobson" emoticon on this website.

So yeah, you either look up blindly to an artist (never to say anything bad) or you're a troll. Classy.
But what really gets me is the mentioning of "passive aggressive" and "criticism" being a "buzzword".
1) The way Dobson uses "passive aggressive" pretty much makes it a buzzword. Someone isn't mollycuddling you, but also isn't insulting you? "Passive Aggressive"!
2) It's not a buzzword if it's valid. And if a LOT of people complain repeatedly about specific things, that makes that criticism most likely a valid point to reconsider. Especially when you don't have a shitton of Patreon supporters to justify your ignorance towards critics.
 
What Dobby doesn't realize is that even Glen Keane probably still practices and tries to improve on his artwork each day. Regardless of how much of a pro you are at drawing, there's always a way to keep improving and learning.

Sad thing is, even though I whipped it up in only like five-ten minutes, I get the feeling Dobsy's may be even worse.

This took me ten, fifteen minutes in Paint. Whenever Dobson makes a landscape of his own I want to see a comparison.
 
Are you kidding me Dobbles? Did you even look at a picture of an actual raccoon? Instead of being a raccoon he looks more like a Weasel from the old Redwall cartoon

They don't have huge honking noses, they have little triangular snouts
I dunno, he should have looked at the Disney Infinity toy of Rocket if he wanted something really cartoony but still recognizable
